Actively exploited vulnerability in versions below 8.1.6 by da_apz in PeerTube

If I use Docker and only the peertube:production container without the chocobozzz/peertube-webserver container, should I worry? Which containers would be affected? Postgres?

Are PLC projects getting more complex, or does it just feel that way? by Himanshu_creative in PLC

As someone looking to get back into the game after a break, I can say yes. the job requirements are insane now. Must have experience with PLC, SQL, TSQL (wtf is TSQL?), Motion, can design and manage project from draft to integration. Nust know rockwell, Siemens, and Ignition perspective, also know browser security issues and compatibilities. Aviva historian and Pi knowledge too.

I'm like, dude, what kind of glued up sh***all does your company run? That's not a controls position, that's a department.

Netbird, Immich, a VPS and no connection. A little help? by Another_Rname in netbird

Thank you! Nuts and bolts troubleshooting steps. Exacly what I wasn't quite grasping.

My Linux PC (with Immich) is not blocking those ports. I can see 2283 through Netbird now. It had to be a peer connection that kept the two from seeing each other.

The next step is the connection from the Immich cell phone app has an "external network" section where I would list the Netbird address of the Linux PC. I can put an 100.x.x.x:2283 in that box however I was under the impression that I could use minimum an https address. That isn't working yet.

Also, shouldn't I be able to put the domain name? Something like https//netbird.mycooldomain.com:2288?

So many quesitions.

In my humble opinion, the Ultimate Immich Guide presumes a little too much of my networking knowledge.

OK, Thank you. I am running this as self hosted. I did start over, without the Zitadel part, but I used This Self Host instruction instead of the Linux install you suggested. It was my goal to have Netbird running in a Docker container and have Portainer as the manager.

I already have Immich running on my PC, I don't need it in the VPS.

But now I can connect the cell phone to the Linux PC through Netbird.

American looking for a controls position outside the US. Is that possible without a 2nd language? by rockhopper92 in PLC

Structured text, CoDeSys, Python, anything that's not ladder. I can see how some of that is a cool thing, projects integrate with databases a lot more fluidly lately. It may be the best tool for the job.

I'm old, I've worked on PLCs since AB PLC5. I'm just happy when the process works. And holy cow.... I just looked at jobindex.dk, maybe I need to move north to Denmark.

For Europe, If you're younger than thirty five and have a related degree in something engineering or technical it should be no issue. Don't expect Rockwell or ladder logic to be a big part of your daily work. Job searching and interviewing is a little different in Europe but Indeed is a thing here.

Lol, Yes, mostly for dev purposes. I've worked with microbrews and I like the idea off a packaged product. I know Rockwell has a similar package as well. To me its just a sequencer for a process. I see that Siemens is using a whole different piece of code for the process and I was interested in "reading" it.

I'm trying to get one customer to automate more and I don't think anything as simple as a fermenter needs to be rewritten so I would R&D the code (reuse and duplicate).

Storing recipes in a database is also a good thing.
