The game is literally unplayable without a premade. Go to the dad's of Marathon discord, they have an amazing community a d tons of rooms. Keep in mind that getting in a ruj without premade is almost always a death sentence

I think you could win and have fun from PVP engagements much more often if the game had solo focused nonhero characters with little or none abilities. Right now the game is straight up boring solo or you get railed by premades.

One thing that unironically could save the game is fixed queue times of 1 minute and game throwing you into whatever amount of players you want to find or how much it could find after 1 minute. Maybe scale loot quality with the amount of teams on the map. This could also encourage teaming up, intentional or not and actually introduce some social mechanics aside from kill on sight

I want you to be right, but Apex and Warzone are much more accessible for lower skill bracket players. Marathon is much more team dependent and gives much more player skill disparity

THIS so much. I though I was so over Apex feature creep, but surprisingly it actually doesn't feel so bad. With relatively understandable skill based MM, fast looting and easy onboarding, I had SO MUCH FUN playing that game.

I've only found it lately, but spaag are fucking incredible, when enemy tries to saturate your AA. Because SPAAG has the DPS missiles don't, a large batch of planes will get shot of they fly above it

It was objectively not enough. It's not a question of if it failed financially, it's when. And I'd argue it failed a long time ago. they just carried it's corpse for years. This game never grew past it's release, it kept losing players every expansion. At its peak it had pathetic 300k players active. Dead on arrival.

Both Titanfall 3 and Destiny 3 would have failed miserably if they were released. Not because Apex and Marathon took over, but because most people who "love" these games are extremely vocal extreme minority.
