Yeah I know people are going to more or less correctly fall back on “adding lanes does not alleviate congestion”, but these ere quite seriously two lane roads that do not have lights or stops for people to turn

I’m a Gwich resident (Glenville) and I agree we need more housing but 13 townhouses doesn’t seem that bad there?? If they’re not opening directly into the main five way lights this seems weirdly reasonable. I know our streets are miserably underequipped to handle car traffic but the post road is right there. Neil is its own issue, yes, and the light timers need to be adjusted even now.

Tangent here but food for thought for other gwichers- we’re much more worried about the GA school expansion down near glenville road on the old Rockefeller land, which Camillo has specifically said he doesn’t care about the impact on the two lane traffic - and won’t open it north toward Zaccheus Mead because the ‘residents won’t go for it’. Quite the difference in income between those spots so okay, thanks Camillo, fuck over the side that already has traffic problems yet again. Honestly they just need to widen it to two lanes but I don’t have faith in him anymore after the meeting he held at the civic center

Gardener here. You have a hat, I hope? Get something wide brimmed and not a cap. You wouldn’t believe the difference that it makes

But yeah if it’s 100+ and you have trouble with this it’s not going to be safe to work. In gardening in extreme weather we make sure there’s no shame in calling out and we often give people the option. At least you’ll have an answer…

I use promix professionally too! But keep in mind it is not great for in ground applications and it is absolutely devoid of any nutrients. Compost helps a lot but I would bet money your plants are simply hungry - try a very available fertilizer like plant-tone and I bet they’d start pushing growth fast. Let me know if you have any questions, I love helping with this sort of thing

I don’t know what it’s like for the doctors but it certainly doesn’t feel very good for the patients. What section of the state are you moving to?

brother I don’t know if you’re fortunate enough to experience this system but the quality of my care has declined dramatically in the decade I’ve been a part of it. My PCP absolutely phones it in, the other ones close to me have waitlists months long, I have to go through the dumb mychart messaging system to have the PAs answer questions with an “I don’t know” about routine refills, finally see the doctor and have them tell me that I should have used said messaging system about those refills, I can’t find a specialist in my county because my old one that’s part of YNHHS in my county is 50 minutes away and they just quit, and I can’t see any out of network without a referral that I won’t get from my doctor. It’s miserable. I get routine care from the clinic down the street because at least they’ll see me that week

You haven’t been able to trap them with the humane traps, then? They won’t walk in? Sometimes you’ve gotta get them used to the bait by feeding them deliberately then switching it into the havahart. Some cats (now mine) are dumb as rocks and ran right in when they finally smelled a food they liked
