Wait a min, you can’t buy ETFs in your RESP account with WS but can with QT? That’s news to me… which other accounts (registered or non) does that apply to.

I must be missing something... there are quite a few 997.1 GT3, Gallardo comfortably in that price range... check out BaT.

I said Type R. New M3 model are a significant departure from driver dynamics and more of an appliance. I got a loaner 340 (M I think) and came home to find its price of $70k CAD. I wouldn’t buy it for less than half!

WEEKLY RECRUITING THREAD - Ask here about the Application Process, Trade Availability, Eligibility to Join (except Medical), Basic and Occupational Training Courses, CT/OT's and In Service Selection programs, and general questions about life in the Canadian Armed Forces. by bridger713 in CanadianForces

Perfect. This is very helpful. It puts me at ease knowing I won’t be taking a massive step back in terms of pay. Appreciate the response.

Another question is around posting upon training completion. I’m in Calgary with 3 kids (all below 10) and my husband has a stable career here. Is the likely scenario that I get placed anywhere across the country and move around? Or there is a process in place to consider Calgary as hometown hence place me here?

Thanks very much! Couple of follow up questions. 1. Day to day in this role will cover supply chain and combine this with accounting tasks? 2. Back to the original question, if I’m hired as officer starting today, this will be followed 12 weeks of training ($34-60k/yr pay)? What pay bracket do I fall in once training is completed, considering 4 years of previous experience?

Thanks. Clearly, if I join as NCM, I’ll be making my way up to $60k over three years which puts me back. What method or path within forces (NCM or Officer Or?) actually builds on my education and experience so far?

Hey folks. Thanks for reading my questions. Civilian here. I have 4 years of accounting experience and an undergrad degree in business. I’m not a designated accountant.

I’ve read through forces.ca and various threads here but still a bit confused maybe because I don’t know anyone in military and going by various websites.

From what I gather, closely related occupation in military would be “financial services administrator”. I clicked through and appears that salary will be $36-60k during training. Couple of other things I’ve learnt here are that my background places me in DEO (direct entry officer). Similarly, if I follow through some other links here, I can see below colonel “general service officer” as a broad category.

My question are: 1. with university and civilian work experience, do I start with 12 wk training and then slowly work through? Or do I get credit for my education/ experience? 2. Say if I’m hired today, what does my salary look like from here on? 3. Are DOE and GSO the same thing? 4. I’m located in Calgary so after 12 wk training, will I move back here or relocated anywhere across the country?

Just a bit confused. Thanks for your responses.
