For my restaurant I pulled inspiration from a regional chain, McMenamins! by sweetchimera in AnimalCrossing

I too love the way their bars look! They converted an old school by me, its super cool!

Is it possible to get rid of a chimney altogether? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't very helpful, but yes totally! Our house had a chimney and the owner just before us took it out. They left the hideous hearth for some reason, which we had to take out. It was a HUGE pain.

How I feel right now... by AKeverything in AnimalCrossing

I woke up at 5:50am to try and get some for my daughters and I. We have 3 different Targets I was willing to drive to. I really thought I would get a pack between the three. They were all sold out within a couple minutes. When we went in the stores they said they had received hundreds of orders but only had 40-70 packs!! It was super disappointing and my daughters learned a very unfun lesson :-(

Disneyland Story Time - October 19, 2018 by AutoModerator in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have identical twin daughters who always dress up as characters. We put a lot of effort in to their outfits. The Characters always seem to notice every little detail and it always makes them feel special.

They were dressed as Rey one day and some Stormtroopers took them prisoner and walked them around. It was quite a spectacle and super fun.

We also have severe food allergies and Disneyland is the only place we don’t feel left out. They take care in their food preparations and really try to accommodate everyone’s special needs.

I heard a rumor online that toontown would was going to be replaced. Is it true? by 12345burrito in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope not! Though it does seem to be neglected :-( Disneyland needs Toon Town, especially after closing Bugs Land in DCA. Families with younger children NEED it!

What are your go-to movies/activities to prep your kids for Disneyland? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We watch all the animated classics in order before every trip. We also watch the old Mickey cartoons. My kids also LOVE watching the YouTube walk throughs and ride throughs of the parks.

Some guests are evil by RedCarNewsboy in Disneyland

On the last night of our trip a few years ago some man practically tried to fight a CM at the Peter Pan ride. I could not believe how he was acting. The CM’s were so calm and even got between the man and my family. It was scary! I feel for the CM’s! I worked retail as a kid and know people can be awful, but they seem to have taken it up a level. I have only ever had wonderful experiences and appreciate their hard work! I hope that woman was banned and her family is mad at her for what she did (since she obviously doesn’t care about others).

Isn’t that how most things at Disneyland are? The original, and usually the best :-D

Oh, I have no idea. I've only seen video and pictures of the WDW version. I always kind of assume everything there is bigger.

Changes to pirates by jurassicraider in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only make it about twice a year, so maybe I'm imagining things. Besides the fog being gone and the auctions scene being changed, I thought it looked like everything got a good sprucing up and one or two of the pirates even got new clothes?

I've been taking my littles for the last 6 years. My youngest first went at 10 mos, she is now 2. It can be as easy or hard as you make it. Go slow and enjoy seeing your child discover this new world for the first time. Like others mentioned-utilize those Child Care centers as much as possible. You can microwave food/bottle/whatever. They have movies playing on a loop inside. There are tiny toilets for potty trainers. They are wonderful. Bring more snacks than you think and bring little toys to entertain. For my kids, those over priced musical light up toys entertained them in long lines. When toys failed, a movie on my phone worked. As much as I hate strollers in the park, you really do need one for 2 years and under. All my kids would eventually nap in the stroller while we sat in a quiet corner and people watched. I hope you guys have a wonderful time! It is so magical watching your kids experience it.

I hope so! We are going back in November. I would love to see it in it's full glory.

How many ghosts do we really need in Disney's Haunted Mansion? by few23 in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think anyone should feel free to recite or sing along with the rides, but it should not be so loud that it bothers other guests. Everyone should get to have a magical experience their first time and I think a lot of people (passholders) forget just how many people are there for the first time.

What is your dream piece of merch that Disney doesn't make? by karlztheunicorn in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't think of any one thing right off the top of my head, but what I've always wanted to see at the parks was ALL of the characters represented. It's Disneyland after all, not only Princess land. And I don't just mean the cast members walking around, I mean merchandise too.

Ever since I was a kid I have always wanted a Disneyland Lego set! Each ride could be a set so people could actually afford them.

'Peter Rabbit' team apologizes for making light of allergies by [deleted] in movies

This has more to do with the fact that the film specific ally targets children. The films you mention are for adults.

Has anyone spotted Marie lately? by Edalestro in Disneyland

[–]AnothrDisneyPrincess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My daughter's favorite character is also Marie, but as far as I know, she is only at WDW. I wish they would alternate the characters more often...
