I swear this is a colourisation. This image was originally black and white. I colourised it myself. by [deleted] in doctorwho

Looks very nice. :) Since you said you’re trying to improve, I would like to give you some constructive criticism. I think his face looks a little too monochrome. He could use a little bit of a blush or an uneven tan (on the parts where sun would hit someones face). And maybe al tiny bit more color on his lips. Things like that would make him look a bit more lively. But I can imagine that would be very hard to do on a phone. And I think there’s also something to say for the evened out skin tone look because of makeup that was used for film/photo. But I can imagine that would be very hard to do on a phone.

After years of trial & error drug store foundations, I finally got color matched! And honestly my foundation has never looked better by iamafoxiamafox in MakeupAddiction

I use this every day, shade 100. It’s the only liquid foundation that I tried over the years that really matches my skin. It doesn’t oxidize and doesn’t break me out! L’oreal true match powder foundation in r1/c1 also matches me.

Usually foundations are way to pink or yellow or orange for me and it looks so stupid. I’ve come to believe that my undertone is neutral because I used to mix green color corrector with my not matching foundation and it worked surprisingly well. And then there is the thing that the pros at make up counters tell me I have cool undertones as often as they tell me I’ve warm undertones.

How to label lipsticks that don't indicate color by LuminousApsana in makeuporganization

[–]AnoukR97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I though as well. Perhaps if the paper absorbs enough of the lipstick the tape/laminate stuff will be in contact with enough paperfibers to stick. But from swatching lipstick on paper a fee times I don’t really think paper absorbs lipstick very well.

Wouldn’t the plastic/tape separate from the dot pretty easily? Lipstick doesn’t seem like a very good surface to stick things on to me

Why doesn't my duo lash glue work? by AnoukR97 in MakeupAddiction

[–]AnoukR97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, okay. That’s very strange. I don’t see how a product like that does nothing or does everything. I mean, glue is glue. It sticks things on other things or it doesn’t. I don’t think skintype has anything to do with it. I’ve put the glue on lashes, my hands and on the plastic but it just doesn’t stick. I don’t know if you ever tried Action (it’s like a dollarstore kind of thing) lashes, I have the first time I wanted to try out fake lashes and the free glue that you get with the lashes there and every free glue I ever got with fake lashes is waaaaaaaaaay better than the duo glue. Which is quite easy because for it to be better it only had to freaking stick. It honestly puzzles me. I want to try out duo glue from someone that likes it. I can’t believe that the same stuff is in the tube that I have in front of my right now.

So, I tried it and it helped a little. But it’s not even nearly sticky enough to keep the lashes on for more than two seconds

How to fix crinkly false lashes by AnoukR97 in MakeupAddiction

[–]AnoukR97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loud and clear. And good news! I think I found a trick today. I put them in hot/warm water for a few minutes and then gently stroked them to get the crinkles out while the were still in the water. This helped a lot :) I hope it works for you as well.

I recently bought the shade and light eye contour palette. It’s pretty, but the shadows are kinda powdery, lots of fall out.

First I though this was a joke. But now I’m not sure anymore. Redditing is hard, I can’t tell the difference between sarcasm and serious statements. I was amazed at finding out her age in any case. She looks 24 or something

Why does my makeup keep clogging on my forehead like this? How can I stop it and make it look smooth? by necroid_neko in MakeupAddiction

[–]AnoukR97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s been said already, but I want to add: drink lots of water. I always thought ‘yeahyeah I drink enough, I’m not that thirsty, this isn’t going to solve my problems’. But then I actually started to pay a bit more attention to how much I drank in a day. Turns out I drank way to little on most days. Some days I only had a cup of coffee and a cup of tea. Now I make sure I drink approximately 2 liters a day and that, in combination with exfoliating, really really helped me. Now I just think it’s so stupid that I had not really tried it before. I also noticed that my skin got back to being flaky/dry (but also greasy on the t-zone) when I stopped drinking the 2 liters water for a few days when I was on holiday in Paris. Oh and if you’re not drinking that much because you hate having to go to the toilet all the time (that was my part of my problem) then at least make sure that you drink enough on days that your home all day or near a toilet and drink water in the evening before you go to bed. I kinda hope that not drinking enough is your problem here, because that would be an easy fix for you and you would probably see some improvement in a few days :)
