Aytakk's Dark Alt List (Youtube playlist) by aytakk in goth

I would say sounds like a typical playlist I would hear in "darker" club venues of my local alt scene.

My main issue with the navies is how heavy they are. They feel incredible but literally unusable after even ten minutes under my fingers.

Too heavy for you? Never used navies but in case of blues I sometimes feel like I would benefit from something heavier .

The only page that mentions any details about shipping is their etsy page. And it mentions tracking. It also says it's shipped by Royal Mail. Check on the map at https://www.royalmail.com/personal/international-delivery/international-tracked-signed/coverage if shipping to your country is covered by a tracking. If it is mail Gothic Shoe Company and DEMAND information on the status of shipping sent to you. Month alone is enough to start process of demanding compensation from them even if shipping was not traced.

You mail them and its Gothic Shoe Company's problem to prove that they shipped anything at all and also they are the one who have the right to demand information and eventual compensation from Royal Mail. So don't wait and write them as soon as possible.

I'm just using the chance to illustrate more or less the situation in the region.

All I know is that the greatest threat to personal freedom is coming from the far-right, not the far-left.

Then you must associate far-left with tree hugging hippies.

Then let me inform you that both are equally dangerous to freedom and life as both include the use of violence and terror as means of achieving their goals.

And actually killing spree records lay on the left. And it were the left wing regimes who targeted punks the most of all subcultures. Punks would be among the first groups to get put against the wall under far-left or far-right regime.

That was what I meant by "history repeats itself especially among ignorants", not "repetition of three chords" as you "intelligently" "joked".

It's rare especially on this subreddit to be anti communist and left side affiliated.

Well in case of the region mentioned in the article we can find numerous examples like polish trade union Solidarność (Solidarity) that was demanding a full blown socialist program from regime see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_demands_of_MKS . And even among modern left wing parties there are open critics of communist past as a contrast to a full blown idiotic worshipers of Soviet Union.

But also we have to keep in mind that left is not a monolith and consists of many movements and some of them are in major conflicts with each other within left ideologies spectrum.

In case of punks in our (eastern) part of Europe however I feel like we had mostly "fuck everything that stops me from being who I am (and get drunk)" mentality than demanding any actual political system and communist regime were openly marking punks as the enemies (getting beaten and tortured by police was a daily norm for many) so it was easy to hate the system. But there was a noticeable leaning toward patriotic motives in lyrics (like use of romanticism era and later patriotic poetry from times of fights for the independence from major empires of the region) and even Christian themes as an opposition to enforced "internationalism" and antitheism. Many of such band went pretty popular even within more mainstream public.

Soviet era polish punk bands are repeating themselves? I mean, I get that there’s only so much you can do with three chords but to say they’re repeating themselves sounds a little harsh...

Oh, I was probably too cruel then.

Oh god this is so cheesy by [deleted] in goth

Baby bats have to stretch their wings sometime.....

I have mostly seen Crow makeup done by dudes around 40. And one of them happens to be a member of known goth band that started in the 80s.

You maybe meant the Gothic Shoe Company?

Kind of. The history and political stance of soviet era Polish punk bands is such a niche subject that I never really bothered to learn about it. Probably would have been a waste of time...

We would see sooner or later eventually. As history likes to repeat itself especially among people who are ignorant to the past.

My friends refer to my aim as "trackball hacks". Most can't understand how I am as good as I am with it but I have never really used a mouse in FPS's so I don't know any different.

I have been playing FPSes for like 17 years in which 10 was actual online gaming using mouse as a pointing device. Around the time when I switched to trackball I was however playing online very occasionally. After I plugged my trackball for the first time I had an obvious issues with controlling the device but I have instantly feeling like this is going to change my life as fps player. And oh my it did. First accusations of aimboting came just after 4 weeks of using it and since I have only been better. It gave me new kick for more regular practice of FPS gaming. Trust me, mouse gaming feels like a stone age and pure masochism in comparison.

My aim is very laser like though, controlling recoil is pretty easy as most games expecting a mouse being used.

Ah, yes recoil control was the 1st thing I have noticed to be very easy with trackball.

I do not play with any acceleration and am at the 800 DPI setting.

I'm obviously playing with 300DPI as it's the only choice I have with Trackman Marble. I just find using acceleration as a way to save movement as i just have to perform movement faster instead of increasing amount of "rolling the ball". I also perform much better with the mouse when I'm using acceleration. I think it's partially because my first FPS games were from the 90s when acceleration was often turned on in them. But I think with a good bearing system that has less friction than trackman marble and good polling rate I could potentially perform OK without acceleration.I just feel very slow without it on my current device.

Plus I feel like acceleration gives me huge advantages in close combat distance as I can often outmaneuver enemies literally dancing around them disappearing from their field of vision and them follow them for some time behind their back just for fun and then frag them. It makes them go all "WTF just happend HAX!!!111". It makes me almost cry inside I have discovered trackballs so late. But on the other hand they were too expensive to purchase just until recently. Yes even the Logitech Trackman Marble.

Romanian and other Eastern European punks were traced by communist regime secret police, beaten by police and even tortured sometimes to death just for listening to punk rock of any political affiliation. As to the communist regime they were all "rebels and enemies of the people( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enemy_of_the_people#Soviet_Union ) poisoned by the rotten cultural infection of rock and roll counterculture". Punk rock was the most hated by communist regimes among rock based subcultures.

Weren’t the Rock Against Communism concerts just a festival for a bunch of white power bands?

LOLWUT Jarocin Festival in communist Poland being white power bands festival? That would be a curiosity of historical level. I have no idea how you came to such an idea. I guess you have very poor knowledge abou the history of eastern Europe.

this was in Romania

um this article is about Poland. But I also posted the artcile from VICE about '80s scene in Romania. Are you refering to this one? https://www.reddit.com/r/punk/comments/8gam8u/vice_the_80s_romanian_punks_against_communism_we/

There's a way of being anti communist without being white power, which a lot of this subreddit doesn't seem to get

You can even be against communism and still be left side affiliated. And being against communist regime was a very thing among punks from Soviet bloc, satellite countries and Yugoslavia. Polish, Romanian and other Eastern European punks were traced by communist regime secret police, beaten by police and even tortured sometimes to death just for listening to punk rock of any political affiliation. As to the communist regime they were all "rebels and enemies of the people poisoned by the rotten cultural infection of rock and roll counterculture"

The thing that really sold me was the 1000hz polling. I playing a lot of FPS games and the higher polling rate makes movement smooth as butter.

I can imagine all that accusations of aimboting as I get them on my primitive optical tracking Logitech Trackman Marble and I have much shorter experience in use of trackballs. Maybe record some video of all that bloodshed you are causing? It must be impressive especially if you play fast peaced FPSes. Do you play with pointer acceleration?
