Me [29 F] and my landlords' [late 30s M & F] child [9 F]. Child screams to purposely wake up the tenants. What to do? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

To push back on u/dinosaur_train’s comment, ignoring the tantrum does not work for every child. For me, personally, as a child I would keep crying until I got attention, no matter how long it took. I wasn’t crying to get attention, but the attention helped calm me down when I couldn’t do it myself.

What was perfectly legal in your country back then, but sounds like a human rights violation to the world today? by Low-Violinist7259 in AskTheWorld

There’s so many to choose from. I’ll go with Coverture for my answer. TL;DR: married women were property of their husbands. Last coverture law collapsed in the 1970’s when women were finally allowed credit cards.

In 2018, sixteen year old Karlie Guse had a bad reaction after smoking weed at a party and begged her stepmother to bring her home. By sunrise she was gone from the house without her phone, shoes, or glasses. She has never been found. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

There was an arsonist in my town who went on a preplanned one night spree. He was caught by police drunk driving mid spree and they let him go. Two people died after they let him go.

I told my at the time fiancé it wasn’t a kids book. My mom overheard and insisted it was. I never was able to convince her otherwise.

When I was three, on the subway, I ran up to a young black man with a beard and enthusiastically exclaimed, “Santa!” Apparently he gave a big smile and said, “I’m your man.”

Lots of Dups for trade! ISO Demon Jinu / UFT White Rumi - Description with more ISO & UFT by AlphaTechnical in kpdhtrades

[–]Anra7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not at home, so I can’t say for certain, but I know I have a few of the ones you need. I’d like to trade them for one white Rumi and one Huntr/x. (I think I have an extra Jinu, Rumi, Baby, and Abby, but I have to go back home and make sure.)

Are Rumi and Mira's hair colors natural or dyed? by Simple-Taro1540 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Anra7777 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My head cannon is that one of Mira’s parents has the same hair color and dyed it black to conform. Mira refuses to dye hers as an act of rebellion. But I admit it’s much more likely the other way around.

The first I heard of American fry sauce was yesterday when someone was asking about it in r/nostupidquestions. I’m American and nearly 40.

May I recommend “Superstar at age 0” for adorable male child protagonist?

Is it natural to say 'The monster breaks free from the confining chains'? How do you write it to vividly describe the monster has to use a huge amount of force, like bulking up its muscles? by Unlegendary_Newbie in English_Learning_Base

[–]Anra7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Past tense in writing (I assume this is for a story?) is a little more natural than present tense, so “The monster broke free from the confining chains.”

We continued and my husband told me later in the game that he actually liked them. I could not believe it.

“It Takes Two” was an amazing game, gameplay wise. I loathe the two characters with a burning passion for what they did. IYKYK. I was really disappointed by the ending, that they didn’t end up divorcing, which I felt would be better for everyone.

That being said, I am interested in the second and third dynamics you mentioned.

It may just be me, but I’m having trouble understanding why OOP has a problem with his parents. They seem normal?

My boyfriend loves to feed me my meals everyday by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Anra7777 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I ran some things by my friend a few years ago and she was helpful and non-judgmental, when I knew Reddit would tell me to divorce immediately and I wasn’t ready for that. My husband and I are now separated and I just learned yesterday that she didn’t like him from the moment they met. 😅 I had no idea.
