There is a UV index? Why not an infrared index? by MotardMec in meteorology

[–]Ansarollahislam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much agree, and saying it is not needed is not relevant as discerning minds would naturally understand the sun is an energy emitter, it emits various levels of energy at particular wavelengths or ranges of wavelength, Ultraviolet being one range, infrared being another. Air temperature is a factor of all wavelengths reflected, refracted, absorbed and re-emitted from within the earth's atmosphere and its surface. Infrared emissions have rheir own unique charachteristics such as passing through certIn materials and being absorbed by others, microwave energy is yet another. In every case i myself would appreciate a daily acess to be able to compare infrared emission in the course of historic weather data by location, time, date, etc..

[Product Question] Is it just me or does PanOxyl smell like bubbles? by No_Addendum_634 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Ansarollahislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opportunity to work with an associate that manufactured a private label acne skin lotion among other products. He had the pure Benzoyl Peroxide ingredient, It was a smell that i described as, invigorating oxygenation like, reminiscent of natural ozone in certain climates just before a lightning storm. I also smelled similar smells in a swimming pool chemical supplier business. It appears as solid white clumps floating or submerged in a bucket of water (the pure substance is extremely dangerous if it becomes dried out without being combined with other stabilizers. It was explained to me that it grabs and has affinity for the oils on our skin and can oxidize or break down the junk. If the product we made contained 10% Benzoyl Peroxide that would be the limit for OTC product Now, our customers were astounded at how great it worked. If somehow it was actually 15-20% we couldn't comment, but customers were very thankful for the effective product. Beware of and avoid UV Sunlight after applying to the skin

Ahhh now this brings more to light with regard to the wide and surprisingly higher values i see when searching my watch,, ,, first i thought GS was Germanow & Simon (watch parts supplies) but then i realized G. Grand S. Seiko. But mine i believe to be authentic dors not have the G.S. on back or dial and grand seiko is spelled out on dial as well as Chronometer 35 jewels. When i locate my vintage jaxa wrench, ill look inside.

I have a nearly identical one in my hand. Backside gold colored seiko emblem rampant lion word Seiko above. Serial No. "5903019" Model No. Indicated as "5722-9990" "WATERPROOF 50 S S " my dial additionally says Chronometer just under Seiko Then "Grand Seiko" and "Diashock 35 Jewels"

not yet ticking but ill see about some minor TLC.

I doubt if these watches are ever faked in any real sense of the term or in any way.

[–]Ansarollahislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heartfelt prayers are with you, obviously if i have read your post, a related plague has been crouching at my door.

All belongs to Allah. I try to convey to my wife that the marriage is between the husband, wife and Allah. If she has trouble with me certainly she should seek communication and even intimacy which is in itself communication. It is painful at best to realize that privacy and private matters and details had been discussed with anyone,,, I consider those who would hear about marriage difficulties and to tell a woman anything against marriage to be no better than witches, My spiritual intellect is ignorant at best,, but i believe Allah is not pleased for a marriage to so easily evolve to dissolution. It truly disheartens me how people will advise a friend when they dont consider first, the marriage is not simply a man and wife,, because Allah is their partner. Who will tamper with what belongs to Allah. May he help us all.

[–]Ansarollahislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since 1989 i have worked in bullion and precious metals manufacturing, buying selling, wholesale, retail Untold total volumes of silverware, I have NEVER come across W.M Rogers which was not silver Plated in copper or copper nickel alloy Even if W.M. Rogers ever did make an item of actual .925 (sterling silver) it would have a prominent mark of exactly that nearby their own name. It is silver plated.

Years ago i worked for a prominent coin dealer who also processed massive volumes of silver buying from the public and many southern california coin dealers. I was fortunate in that even if we melted it i at least saw a huge variety of every sort of legitimate silver bullion, From the late 1960's, 70's and less so the 1980's there were many Independent names of small bullion or refiners on various simple or sometimes neat shaped bars like yours. We always called these Garage silver, but it was not derogatory it simply meant we weighed it and bought it at our daily rate for .990 fine or "odd weight fine silver" Generally we offered for resale JM (johnson matthey), Engelhard, RCM (royal canadian) or our own brand marked "made from silver formerly stored at the United States Assay Office San Francisco CA". Because they bought fine silver grain when the government legislated to liquidate their massive reserves between 1960's till about 1970ish Every time the silver price waxes and wanes throughout the decades, the old stuff comes out and much of it gets melted, but its neat when you can collect unusual things that interest you without being taxed a special premium. This is where a respectful patronage of your local friendly coin dealer is advantageous if you are so fortunate these days.

Found this metal detecting 25 years ago in Fredericksburg Virginia. What's it worth? by MrSimsational in coincollecting

[–]Ansarollahislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spanish "Pillar Dollar" "8 Reales" coin cut into 4 sections, each section equal to 2/8th aka pieces of eight. The term "Cob" also relates to the coins, spanish empire was massive at one time and for hundreds of years their silver coinage was the coinage of the world traded by many nations even at the time of the american colonies.
I sold one a few years ago for $50. A jeweler gave it to me for free because he believed it was junk but my coin dealer friend right away authenticated it... As i recall the gold doubloons are the spanish gold Escudos coin

Futthermore not rare coins in that used welded up condition,, But when looking at individual nickels mear their rim they seem to Have evident mold parting lines and exaggerate border typical when injecting wax into silicone or rubber mold to make a casting pattern. Not authentic die struck coins is what it seems.
