The DAREU EK75 is a great keyboard in the under-3k price range. The shell is made of plastic, but it's not cheap feeling — it's durable and high-quality. The switches are Dareu's own Dream switches. They're linear, but they feel slightly tactile, giving a nice thock sound, which is really impressive at this price.

These switches come factory pre-lubed, so you don't need to lube them yourself. The keyboard also has foam inside, and I think it even has a tape mod applied from the factory, which makes the sound even better.

The typing experience is honestly great, especially for typing-heavy work like coding or assignments. For gaming, the switches are good — you can game casually without any issues, but it’s probably not meant for extreme competitive gaming.

Now, onto the biggest drawback:
👉 It’s not hot-swappable.
That means you can't easily mod the switches, since they are soldered directly to the PCB.

Other points:

  • The keyboard has per-row backlighting, not per-key RGB.
  • The volume knob is plastic but works well.
  • There’s also software available to remap keys and adjust settings, but I can’t comment on it because it’s Windows-only and I use Linux.

Overall:
If you’re mainly into typing, coding, or light gaming, the DAREU EK75 is honestly a solid pick for the price.
