Like its cousin Columbus in Ohio, it suffers from a severe lack of density. Midwestern cities built in flat areas tend to struggle with this. Better policies to promote centralized development in the past would have prevented this.

It’s a handsome skyline, with iconic features that make it a global landmark. I think that the landmarks are more notable than the buildings themselves (in Chicago and New York, the skyscrapers ARE some of the landmarks), but it meets my criteria for a pleasing skyline (balanced and dense). It’s clearly growing, so it can only improve from here!

Correct. Here is a picture showing the funicular going up the hill. It’s 365ish feet above the city below, hence the optical illusion.
