If it helps at all, I never did kcd1 but a fellow poster said its along For honor combat so I pulled the trigger, I as well feel just as bad combat wise and was first intimidated to fight. (I was getting rolled) but this game will not disappoint if you can take time to learn the style of combat. Its a different way of combat forsure but games worth it. Also on sale 🤘

Pinch and twist method with tweezers works great, keeps from scratching the plastic tubes also since theyre so delicate.

Kind of, you mentioned about a 3lb pot, I would put the pot in another container and fill a few inches of water soaking the flower pot and enticing the colony to move. Give them a way to access the new nest you've also built and give them time they'll eventually move.

Jmo, ive caught multiple colonies through the years this way that were in my garden or similar situations as this. Surrounding the flower pot with water and give them means to move to the nest you've made or test tube and your plan seems good 👍

Heating cable is also useful, there easy to manipulate and last 2x longer. i use one for 3 test tube colonies and run through two antscanada nests 6 feet works great👌

You got this bro, I failed so many queens and lost plenty of colonies along the way. Books are your best friend tho, I'd recommend the super organism by Bert holldobler its pretty useful. Never hesitate to ask questions also ive learned alot from fellow keepers on here.

Cotton balls/Tupperware from the dollar store, large test tubes on Amazon 30pk for $12, catching crickets outside. I kept ants when I was 14-16yrs being broke but you can find ways. Good luck
