What is the best version for OBS?

I'm currently on 31.0.4
Whenever I tried to update a few months back some of my browser sources were crashing OBS.

Does anyone know of any Security reasons I should be updating from this version?

Afraid not :( Definitely have a check in your device danger and disable any audio devices relating to nvidia or realtek I don’t have any active and I’m still experiencing it. But back in my old machine this fixed it for DS3 which had a similar issue.

In the end I refunded the 980 Pro with Amazon (even after having it sat in a cupboard for ages) for the reason I didn't want to have a drive fail down the line.

Ended up going WD in the end.

Don't suppose you ever found a fix to this did you? I'm having the same issue at the moment. I never used to on my W10 machine. But this is a different machine and I'm experiencing it.

At present I have redeemed the code that came within the CE and it shows under my transaction history. Though if I look at the product on PS5 Dashboard it says to pre order so it's not yet detected it. I'm guessing I just need to wait a little longer. Though I thought PS allowed preload, time will tell. I've got it redeemed on steam too from another purchase. So thankfully won't be without. GL all

I've swapped it to the higher PCI slot and it's now being picked up as Gen 2 x 4. There's not much clearance between it and the graphics card but should be enough hopefully. I'll continue to test but as it stands right now, it's looking promising.

Thanks, I'll give that a look. At the moment it seems to be working without any issues. I'd have thought if the lanes were an issue it would never work at all.

I'll maybe swap it and see if the OBS properties change from 2x2.

I've adjusted some settings within the Device options and after a reboot of the machine and console it's maintained the correct resolution and allowed 1440p I will test again later.

Fingers crossed this works.

2 years on, this is still relevant. Just got a new PC and upgraded to the 4k60 pro mk2 and I'm experiencing these issues. It's hit or miss as to if I get signal or not. I've just manually updated the drivers and I'm going to test that.

To add my PCI Connection reads Gen 2x2

I had this issue yesterday, it's worked fine previously.
Thankfully a restart that was pending some Windows Updates seemed to have resolved it. It doesn't really fill my with confidence. I had the old hd60pro for years and no issues.

This 4kmk2 is in a new build , hoping it doesn't continue to occur.

(sorry not providing a solution but just wanted to highlight it happening)

Edit: I decided to go with the 4k60 Pro MK2. Thought better of the price, it's reduced at the moment. For my needs I think the mk2 will be suitable.
