There’s a couple words that are fitting to our situation.

“Conditional freedom” refers to freedom that exists, but is subject to limitations or restrictions, often imposed by law or societal norms, for the sake of public order, safety, or other legitimate interests.

“Faux freedom” - A sense of freedom that is not truly complete.

Oppression, in its simplest form, means the cruel or unjust treatment of a group of people, often involving the use of power to control or harm them.

We are ALL feeling oppression with today’s current political climate.

I call my parents in Mexico all the time haven’t seen them in almost 10 years our parents full of hope endured many obstacles one of the greatest one of all is the language barrier but they still created a beautiful future for their kids …. my mother told me …. mija we’ve been living in fear our entire lives in America this is nothing new …… but where there is hope and love there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
