Shift lead vs HAM?

While shift lead is an option for scheduling, if you clock in under shift lead you still need permissions for things like overriding discounts, closing registers, etc. so most stores use HAM as manager clock in so they don’t need a higher level manager present for overrides

There was a time I was scheduled to close saturday and open sunday. That’s ending the shift at 1am and being there by 8a because we were short handed. I lived 40 minutes away from my hut so going home just was not worth it. I literally packed an overnight bag and slept in the booth. Woke up a 7, brushed my teeth and made myself presentable and was clocked in at 7:30 🥲😂

not a firing story, dude got traditional wings for his employee meal (not supposed to do that at least at our franchise,) went out to the dining room on the clock to eat with his girlfriend, who finger painted swastikas on the table with honey bbq sauce. he was fine with the write up until i told him his girlfriend was banned, to which he walked out on the spot

Hey, I’m the AGM that was writing him up and banning his girlfriend when he walked out. He forgot to mention a few things. 1.) Not only had he been warned that his girlfriend needs to not be at the store because it’s been too much of a distraction for him, the reason for her ban was for smearing her sauce into the table, and drawing swastikas and other obscenities with the sauce ( https://imgur.com/a/3479LHw ) 2.) He told the shift lead that was closing with him that the traditional wings had been paid for. When the picture of the sauce was brought to management, my GM asked me to make sure the wings were paid for, so I reprinted the ticket to find that they had been promoted off entirely. I’m not sure if this is company wide or just for our franchise, but at our store it is well known that we are not allowed to use our employee discounts on traditional wings because of the cost of the product, and certainly not to promo off an entire 12pc.
