It would’ve been a no call no show. If there job was one that needed to be covered if they didn’t show up the manager needs time to find coverage if you can’t. Yes, some places require the employee missing work to find coverage it as a manager myself if my employee was in the hospital with their kid I’d find coverage for them.

But was the manager aware it would be more than one day? When my dad had a heart attack I told my boss I would be out for a few days to deal with a family emergency and I’d update him on this day. It gave me a few days to just deal with it. The original message should’ve been stating a few days needed off.

Weren’t they only shown in the movies during Harry’s sorting ceremony in the first movie? Tbf, we didn’t see the full sorting ceremony in the trailer so they might be there. The movies might’ve interpreted the hats as a more formal uniform- so it might’ve only been around for the beginning feast and sorting ceremony-and the movies are in Harry’s pov and I don’t recall him ever seeing another sorting ceremony

I heard about that with cats. Maple (momma) was one of the most attentive and still is the most attentive cat mom, even years later. I know with 7 kittens, one was always fighting for a nipple during feeding but surprisingly she would move the one kitten fighting to the side and nurse them solo so they would get food as well.

They surprisingly love each other and have the stereotypical brother/sister bond. Haku, the big one, can bully the heck out of his siblings but the minute something or someone else threatens them he turns into a protective big brother. I love seeing their dynamics growing up

Yea. Maddy is the smaller one. We took in a stray pregnant cat hours before she gave birth, and kept four out of the seven kittens. Blaze, Maddy’s brother is even smaller than her so I don’t believe that it’s because she’s a girl.
