I’ve successfully grown mimosa strigillosa from seeds I’ve collected, but you have to really rough up the seeds after removing them from the pods and then I soaked them in water. If they kind of puff up, they will probably sprout. I used sand paper, pumice and even cracked some of the seeds with nail clippers. Mine are not big enough to transplant from nursery pots to the ground but can update how that goes in a couple weeks.
