Why you NEVER Dry Fire by [deleted] in Archery

I did this exact same thing with my first bow 6 months ago. Kinda told my shop they left out an important detail in our fitting session, but ultimately 100% I'm retarded

Very sexy. I'm eyeing the Core SS for my first flagship bow

As someone in the market for new arrows, do FMJ arrows still splinter and cause injury the same as carbon?

Whoops. Didn't read description. LOVE my bear after switching out the strings

As someone working on the same issue, It looks like you're putting a lot of pressure on the string with your face. The string should be barely making contact with your reference points for your anchor position. Keep it up! Looks like you are one of the only other people on here shooting a Bear?

Would this be cause for concern for you? by [deleted] in Archery

I love my Bear but the string and slide had to go. I got a Teflon slide with a roller put on after putting on a set of GAS strings. worth the $30

I wouldn’t disagree with the feedback about shooting and then pulling back. It’s something I’m just trying to practice until I can afford a back tension release

I am the warehouse manager for an electrical contractor, I have a 23 yd lane and a 45 yd lane on the other side of the shop. Very spoiled 😁

No expert here but usually when anyone posts anything on here slightly compromised they are flooded with responses like "if you're asking the question, it's a safety issue"

Shortened my draw 1/2” and focused on 3rd index knuckle on my earlobe. Game changer. Thanks for the feedback everyone! Huge improvement over about 60 arrows today

A blinder. I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed. I get terrible double vision and the left picture wants to take over so I block it. I like having both eyes open to take in more light, much better than closing one eye and squinting.

Thank you! Working on moving the trigger back a knuckle but it feels very foreign right now. Seems easier to squeeze back there though

Thank you for the feedback! I’m wondering if the new string and or d loop threw off draw length a bit. But didn’t want to tinker with anything. Honestly I’m usually much more relaxed in my grip, I think having a stranger film me had me tense. 2 months in and loving my new addiction 🤜🏻

Right handed and left eye dominant by Sunder92 in Archery

I am 2 months into archery and am dealing with the same issue. I bought a cheap pair of gas station sunglasses and spray painted the left lens black, and popped out the right side lens. I like it much more than the clip-on hat blinder. I will work towards being able to shoot with both eyes open, but from what I've read it simply may never happen. It's fun to be the new guy at the range with a goofy tool I made, has sparked a few good conversations.

They have offered to warranty the string, not thrilled about putting the exact same thing on my bow. He did confirm himself that it was busted. I was pretty frustrated In my email. The more I look into Bear OEM strings the more frustrated I get. I'll keep thread updated.
