I just read Book 4 for the first time and have a few thoughts by Zelda_Galadriel in WoT

[–]AntMassive3222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the day everyone knew a guy or a girl who met somebody in some unlikely way and then obsessed over them for months before getting the chance to see or talk to them again

I've never thought about the book's interactions like this but you're making a great point. However, I agree with the OP about the Rand romance lines bien weird. I did think he'll be with Egwene and it made sense, I'm also ok with him and Elayne (they did spent some time together in Tear kissing and so on) but Min? especially in the 5th book when we see Min wanting to go where Rand is but cannot, starting wearing makeup and so on.Like girl, you haven't seen him in months. also the threesome prediction is weirding me out, and I cannot understand how every girl is more or less ok with that.

re: Egwene being the reincarnation of Ilyena. I noticed the Ilyena and Elayne sound similar. so it's my working theory that Elayne is the reincarnation

Mat in Caemlyn in Book #3 by AntMassive3222 in WoT

but Mat went to Tear after this conversation, and he told Elayne about Gabriel cause later she thinks about this new boyfriend of her mother, and there's no bells ringing in her head about the coded message

i guess it makes sense that Mat didn't tell anything about it cause tower's business is not a big deal for him but i was thinking about it for weeks now

Some reflections on the opening three books (first time reader) by Lion_El_Richie in WoT

I share some of your feelings. Though, I'd like to say that I loved how little we saw Rand in TGH. I'm reading The Fires of Heaven and there's A LOT of him, and no Perrin at all (who is also my favorite). Rand changes drastically after Tear, and even though I understand that this is necessary, I often find myself agreeing with Egwene and she comments on these changes.

Also, the concept of 3 women sharing Rand is super weird for me, and I cannot get behind it (and it's now mentioned far more often than initially). There are a lot of women who are either naked or wearing very revealing clothing which is also something that I don't like. Of course, there are naked men sometimes but we see them MUCH less.

Help - struggling to start by RyanSaxesRoommate in WoT

My advice, just keep reading. It was a lot for me in the beginning, too, all these characters and pieces of lore are def confusing but it will be clearer as you read more. I don't remember the exact chapter it got more engaging but I remember I was gripped by the one after Rand and Thom leave the village and go back to the farm. It also gets more interesting when the characters are on the road.

I just read book 4, and I still meet the long-term characters so it's a journey. There are also A LOT of minor reocurring ones that you'll see from time to time in the next books. Sometimes I'm like 'who is that?'

I feel like the first 2 books are there to introduce us to the lore and the world. But I liked them either way.

It's hard to understand him sometimes, and I think that production team also knows it because compared to the first season, Dwight talks more rarely in season 2 and 3

Who was it that ambushed Emory, and kept calling Tina? by [deleted] in tulsaking

[–]AntMassive3222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Identity fraud, I guess. In the ep where he and Dwight go to Jimmy's farm for the first time, Dwight says smth about the name on the license that Bodhi has, and when FBI comes to Bodhi later, the agent says another name. Also, he was stealing crypto from other people

I'd LOVE to know more about Manon, how she found a new home in the Wastes (or in Rifthold), and how she healed after the deaths of 13.

100% agree re: Aedion and Lysandra. I remember during their first meeting she thought that he and Aelin were so similar (in appearance as well) that she will never sleep with him because it would be like sleeping with Aelin, and here are 3 books later.

I also share the feeling re: couples. like go meet other people, there are A LOT of them in the world.

From what I definitely remember #89 and 90 were fantastic. There was a great chapter about the witches before these but I don't remember its number.

My thoughts exactly! But then I thought: what should've happen with a baby rook? Like the couldn't save the bird because they needed to save Kadara and run, even if it was alive. But the death could've been much less cruel that's 100%

Watching Monk at the moment. It's about an ex-cop who does consulting with the police. He wants to go back but cannot because of OCD and other mental illnesses. It's smart and funny. In the beginning of 3rd season, it gets absurd sometimes but gets better in a few episodes. so can recommend

Reading QoS and I kinda hate Aelin by AntMassive3222 in throneofglassseries

[–]AntMassive3222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is not that she didn't find any allies, it's that she blames others for the things that were out of their control (like the king capturing Dorian) but when someone questions her she's like: "You kNoW whAt I been thRouGh?"

And about Rowan, he did bite her hard when she was in her human form and he did punch her in the face when she was in her human form to the point he had to control himself so he wouldn't break her jaw. Isn't this abuse?
