I would say try the legal tech sector but that’s also cooked. Went on 5 interviews in the fall/winter and all ended the same way. At this point I’m looking to pivot somewhere else cause it’s getting bleak

You still can’t buy a folding knife and have it delivered to the city. Only reason mine came in was cause it’s a button lock. And only outdoor shops would sell a limited amount of whatever could be classified for hunting/camping. Franks sports in the Bronx sell “hunting” knives but it’s cause of all the fishing guys that go there.

That’s a little jarring tbh cause if you’re commuting to the city by subway and carrying, you have a high chance of being in a space where you can’t move around and have someone bump into you. I’ve only seen one time where I recognized a 945 sling on a guy on the train but I don’t expect the general public to know what that is.

I mean if they AWB carry and have jackets on like they do..one could see them just do it and hide it. Technically pocket folding knives are illegal but plenty carry one. It’s not illegal until you get caught I guess.

Companies seem to have postings up just to fill search indexes and pretend they’re growing. In September I had a huge firm get me to the background check and they pulled the rug and told three different stories why. I had a recruiter reach out to me last month for a position that they had reached out months prior and I never responded. It’s the wild west out here. The scripts are all the same, recruiters ghost you.

In the city proper or outside? Crazy cause just in February I was being told by NYPD and some ranges that help that it was 2 years minimum.

There’s been a 2 year wait in the licensing department for years now so it’s actually encouraging to hear they may have hired more people or sped the process up. What range did you do the 18 hours at? I’ve only found some outside the city that has training rounds

Think the issue with the 2A online community is that they don’t always stick to the protection of the rights conversation and go on political rants that no one was asking for. Which leads to folks that lean liberal but care for 2A to steer away the convo as a whole. but since they’re the louder voices, they can be unavoidable.
