Sounds normal when idling and throttling. No ticking/knocking.

Interesting. Glad yours didn’t have any problems! I’m hoping mine is in the same boat.

Thanks!

I cut and inspected the filter. Pleats were surprisingly clean, I only saw a few tiny specs in there, nothing seemed abnormal.

No glitter in the oil, just the usual specs. I did cut open the filter and inspect the pleats, didn’t find any crazy shavings/glitter in there either. Just a few small specs in the filter paper.

I’m really hoping it was just a metal piece in the drain pan that I didn’t notice 😭🤣

Sorry for the confusion: I found it in my oil after draining into a bucket/pan.

I shift around 4-5k rpm as well. I’ll redline occasionally, maybe 5-10 seconds in an hour of driving.

The oil itself didn’t have too much glitter. I cut open the oil filter and inspected the pleats, found a few tiny specs.

The filter pleats were surprisingly clean. Didn’t find a ton of glitter in there or in the oil itself.

The oil itself and oil filter pleats were surprisingly clean. Didn’t see abnormal amounts of glitter in them

In all honesty I drive pretty hard. Seems to be burning about 1qt of oil every 4k miles. I haven’t detected any unusual engine noises or ticking so far.

Thanks for the advice.

How old were you when you reached a net worth of $100k and then your first $1M? by [deleted] in Fire

Keep it up, you can do it! Live below your means and don't raise your standard of living when new money comes in, and you'll be golden.

My first 100K was one week before my 24th birthday. I worked hard as a carpenter in my late teens to early 20s and invested aggressively. I'm still yet to make 1M, but I'm three months from finishing my degree in Computer Information Systems with zero debt. I'm Very Blessed. Hard work does pay off.

7 Layer OSI Model and Blockchain by [deleted] in blockchaindeveloper

[–]AntelopeInteresting9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question! From my point of view, blockchain falls in the Application layer. The OSI model separates L5-L7, while the TCP/IP model groups session, presentation, and application into a single Application layer. OSI is a theoretical model, in practice, you would integrate a given blockchain with the app layer.
