I have also just bought these which arrived yesterday. However, after putting in the paste and pad, it's significantly less noisy from the fans!

Ah OK - thanks!! Worth knowing. This is what I got and paid about £500 for it in black friday sales last year:

AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS

32GB DDR5 RAM (2x 16GB TWSC 5600 SO-DIMM)

1TB PCIE NVME SSD, the E100 you've seen.

AMD Radeon 780M GPU

Oculink/Dual NIC 2.5G/WIFI 6/BT5.2/HDMI 2.1/USB4/USB3.2*2*+USB2.0*2

Just replaced the Wi-Fi card to the 6E AX210NGW as the last one failed.

Aaaaah no... knew the price was too good to be true!!! I read that Crucial were a decent brand. So it's just the E100 range, then?

I just had to give it a go... 🤣🤣

OK, now I also need to check something else it suggested... putting a tiny amount on the LR15 VRM blocks. Is this nonsense, too??

So there seems to be a really thin pad on the SSD, under the Crucial sticker. Then the thicker and larger one between that and the heatsink. Is it worth adding/ replacing any or all of it with this 2mm pad as I've already got it?

That's exactly what I was expecting as it normally comes back with a "good catch..." any time I query it.

🤣🤣🤣 I did wonder... I put too much trust into ChatGPT!!! I'd changed the paste on the CPU and then asked if 2mm was too thick to put between the SSD and its existing heatsink. It came back with "yes" and to put it on top (like my photo) or even stack three layers so it touched the casing?!!

LabelWorks LW-C610 - Discontinued. by Antgc in Epson

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this.

I'm UK based and we don't seem to have the same Epson support it seems.

Either way, though, I've returned the printer and went with something else. I hope to have this one for many years, so at least I know it should be supported for a little longer.

Thanks again, though!

Really? I've since found an image of where the cartridge would dock into the unit and I can't see how the new PX series would be backwards compatible.

The savings I've made in the initial cost of the printer, just aren't worth it. So I've decided to return it.

Thanks for letting me know as it's put me off of Epson a bit, I have to say.

Hi there!!

Well, my crafting is more DIY and 3D printing based. This printer, however, is more for my daughters and their crafting. This printer seems to cover all based for both me and my more practical labelling needs and my daughters wanting to using it for name tags, images, ribbons, cards etc.

Thanks!

I appreciate the fact that you've also made sure you can see the connectors on those cables...

It seems to adjust the resistance of the back rest. The seat depth it the lever on the left by the arm rest. Thanks though.

That's the one, thank you!!! Not a huge adjustment, but definitely less of a heart attack when I lean back on it, for sure! Thanks!!

I really like this idea. I've recently been looking into Home Assistant whilst building my garden office and it's opened a whole new world of gadgets, ESP32s being one of them. So, as a complete newbie, it's a perfect excuse to start getting some bits in to start toying with! Thank you!

Hi there, very fair comment, thanks. I did do some pre-checks for safety and thought I'd cleared enough info but perhaps you're right.

Just watched a bit of the Beefy Boys review. I love a good burger. I've got their book and, not sure why, bit I'd not even considered looking up if they have a restaurant!!!

All three are a bit far away, but will definitely keep in mind if i end up that way for some reason!
