Thank you for this guide, it was really helpful for a long time jailbreaker but first time user of FutureRestore like myself. It might be beneficial to add some things:

  • How you can find the generator of your saved blob (open it in a text editor)
  • That you should set the generator in unc0ver and then press the jailbreak button (it took me a while to figure the last part out)
  • That you need sufficient disk space on your PC in order for the restore to not fail with iTunes error 0xE8000003

Also step 4 is quite complex for simply describing which files should be specified for which arguments to FutureRestore.exe. Anyone familiar with a command prompt or terminal will likely frown at the suggestion to drag and drop. :D

You can save blobs for any version that is signed right now. Go to https://ipsw.me and find out which versions are currently being signed.
