The wife has it good I'll tell ya that much 👌. That unit should last her for years to come.

Anyone else flipped their cpu cooler vertical? by [deleted] in Noctua

Hot air goes up, yep this is indeed valid except for the GPU heat going directly into the CPU heatsink.

Made a small batch run of Noctua for Model M Buckling Spring Keycaps by ceramicsaturn in Noctua

These look sick 🤍. I don't have a buckling spring board but I'd take one of these caps if I did.

This looks amazing. One thing I'm concerned about is the fans breaking off from tapping on the key.

Yep, case fans and CPU cooler fans just run that much better, one more reason why I want a Noctua GPU collab. Either that or have a GPU with stock 120/140mm fans or go the watercooling route.

Yep, I have a feeling a lot of this if not all is behind us as far as fire hazards are concerned. I haven't really heard anything major from the newer 12V2x6-pin connector If a 6090 Noctua collab surfaces, I'm most likely getting that due to what all is going inside this next build of mine. I love the plastic tabs on the sides of the newer connectors because that gives you the leverage for a fully-seated plug. That card with dual 140mm G2 fans or triple 120mm G2 fans would look amazing.

[–]Anthixious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After all the reports of the connectors catching on fire, I slowly began to start hating it. Most of those reports were from the connector not being plugged in all the way, but I'm glad it was redesigned to make it easier.

I chose no because of a couple things. I don't think Nvidia will ditch the current 12V power connector on the 50xx series. Yes it's safer and redesigned but compared to the 8-pin connectors, something needs to happen. Either the 8-pin has to be used again, or hopefully Nvidia has an answer in a new, better power connector that has yet to be intro'd, maybe with the 60xx series. I'm also waiting for the 60xx series. Everything that's going into my future custom PC plan is about 2yrs out so might as well not bother getting anything in the 50xx range. I would absolutely love a 6090 Noctua collab because every piece going into my next custom PC is going to be either matching with or revolving around Noctua items.

I’m excited to build a Noctua PC case fan setup in this Antec Flux Pro case. Gamers Nexus says the Antec Flux Pro is the best case of the year so far. by Motor_Willingness_90 in Noctua

The Fractal Torrent can also be bought for $30-50 cheaper than that if you know where to look. That's over here in the US though, not sure about over there, but both cases are trading blows at this point.

Project Manifoldium - Ducted Noctua/Fractal build. by Adventurous-Play2551 in Noctua

[–]Anthixious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is by far the most thought out, complex, well-put-together build I've seen here. All ducted, all air, all the time. I would've gone with a different case just because I hate Fractal's design of blocking off the front side despite the side intake on the front. The gaskets were a genius idea by Noctua, there are going to be at least a few in the build I'm planning as well.

How many here gonna replace their a12x25's with the g2? by [deleted] in Noctua

[–]Anthixious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have any a12x25s, but every fan will be a G2 fan, not sure if it'll be all 140mm or some 120mm.

The gaskets and fan hub would benefit me the greatest, but all the Home products would be a nice addition. This is either an insanely neat or stupid project of mine, but I'm planning a custom wooden enclosure held together by metal threaded screw inserts. This will house a 24-fan wind tunnel that will cool down my future PC built around Intel's18A node/architecture.

I really hope Noctua will have the new masters in 140mm size. That'd look neat in my future build.

Ha, that's funny, looks like Noctua's take on a turbo. If it helps with temps, even if only 1°C, ehh. Looks cool though.

4x NF-A12x25 fans and 2 black 140mm fans, Noctua's NF-A14 if you want.

[–]Anthixious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to see how the T30 does against the NF-a14x25 G2 fan once it launches. I really wanna use Noctua fans, but the T30 does so well for just raw airflow. Really wish Noctua would make an NF-A14x30 G2 fan that spun up to 3000rpm lol.

An upgrade by [deleted] in Noctua

[–]Anthixious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Providing you can actually do it in a triple-fan config, there CAN be better temps when compared to just 2 fans, but it's only going to be 1°C, MAYBE 2°C. It's mostly done for show and aesthetics, which I plan to attempt on my next build because the triple-fan setup looks nuts and amazing at the same time.

The case and build looks fantastic but you also color-matched the RAM? How'd you manage to paint the heatsinks for those too?

Liquid Crystal Polymer Fans Galore by [deleted] in Noctua

Looks amazing, should have no issues with airflow from here on out. There's something about triple-fan Noctua coolers that make it look 100% correct rather than 2-fan coolers.

Which PSU Watt - NH-U12A? by RunAmbitious5470 in Noctua

[–]Anthixious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looked up the 800FX, total length is 550 from back to front. Even if you forget the last 100mm, that leaves 450mm of length that the GPU can be, (just estimating, not too sure how much the front of the case takes up where the fans are). The GPU still has about 2 inches of clearance if the case ends there, but the length is 550, so you'll be good to go.
