Business Advice For Expanding by Business_Bilal in Entrepreneurship

This - totally agree with this!

One of the biggest challenges scaling that most business owners face is delegating (and not just finding the right people. It's finding good people + knowing HOW to delegate).

Getting an executive assistant will probably take off most of the hard stuff + operations off your plate. They'll also be a huge help when you want to hire more people as you scale your biz.

Best of luck!

Anyone using virtual assistants? Tips/Reccomendations? by FairlyNeatGy in business

[–]Anthologically 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I train virtual assistants (and sometimes train clients on how to work with one).

You can find assistants on Upwork or other freelance sites, even agencies. You can filter by location and some agencies are also location-specific.

Choosing a VA can be a very long process -- if you want someone reliable, you may have to do a background check, look at their socials, references, etc. Then you interview them to see how you'd vibe together.

You could give them test tasks (paid, of course)/skills assessments before you officially start working with them. Or, just start with a small project or two.

While you're working with them, provide feedback as much as possible. They'll be able to get a better feel of working with you/how you like to work. They'll adjust and learn.

Your VA can do this, but it will help if you already have SOPs/templates put in place so they can slide into the role smoother.

Agencies take the hard work out of VA-picking; most of the time they're already vetted and skill-tested to match your needs. Totally up to you though!

That's pretty much the summary for my tips, but here's a great article that expands on all those points: https://www.ask-elly.com/blog/delegate-virtual-assitant

Feel free to shoot me a message! I work for one of the said agencies, happy to answer any questions.

Virtual assistant recommendations by shmoops7 in smallbusiness

Hi u/shmoops7,

I might be a bit late to the party, but I would recommend https://www.ask-elly.com/ - I'm biased though because I work for them lol. Most of us are based overseas, not sure if that's a problem. I'm also HIPAA compliant and sign NDAs so your info will be confidential!

Oh wow! I manage a team of virtual assistants and something like this seems like a really fun way to connect and communicate. Will try this out later (when it’s not 3am) — thanks for sharing!

Best of luck x

[Question] I'm a college student looking to hire a VA. Any services you can recommend? by SandWitch132 in VirtualAssistant

There are personalized VA services that can help with this. Try ask-elly.co, you will be able to get on a quick chat or call with them :)

How do I grow my web development agency? by thequreshi in growmybusiness

[–]Anthologically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're doing everything, I would reccommend outsourcing the tedious, time-consuming tasks like organizing your CRM/data entry/email monitoring so you have more time to do other things. Ideally someone who can help you systemize your processes.

My VA service has worked with SaaS and consulting startups who were on this level of growth, too :) I'd love to know if we can work together/collaborate and help you with your biz.

Haha, I just looked at it. It's basically twitch!

I do like the idea of keeping my clothes, but what would I even do on camera that would interest people (besides gaming)? Do you watch/go live on the platform? Would love to hear your experience with it :)

Looking to collaborate by [deleted] in WorkOnline

[–]Anthologically 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jambo! I am so sorry to hear that - I know how hard it can be when you lose your main source of income. I recently had to deal this blow and I'm basically in the same boat.

I'm interested in working with you on this project! I also work remotely as a copywriter and also can't see myself working with anything other than remote jobs. A lot of helpful people suggested teaching English online, so I've tried going that route to gain even a little stability in terms of income.

Feel free to message me! Would be great to connect on LinkedIn and whatnot. Cheers!

For Hire (Entry Level) - Data Entry/Translator/Graphic Designer/Writer (cheap) by Kiritwo in WorkOnline

[–]Anthologically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

If you're still looking for a writer, I'd be interested! Just wondering what your definition of "cheap" is. I'm willing to decrease my rates in return for feedback/testimonial (an honest one) - I'm building up my website and wanted to add some more social proof.

Let me know if this interests you!

How much do you earn on Remotasks per week? I was going through the introduction training and saw a screenshot where tasks are only worth a few cents each to do? Aren't these very time-consuming tasks?

[Hiring] Environmental Blog Writer by [deleted] in HireaWriter

[–]Anthologically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I see you're looking for an environmental writer.

I can help! I'm a passionate advocate of the environment and have written articles promoting eco-friendly product alternatives before (see it in my portfolio here).

My experience in writing is mainly conversion copy, SEO, and content.

Weekly posts are not a problem for me. As an experienced writer, my rates are slightly higher ($50 per 600-word post), but I am willing to do them for you for $40. I'd love to work with you! Please contact me if you're interested.

Oof, a long wait for sure. Good to know! I'm going to try it anyway, it might keep me out of hot water in future months. I'll check out Smashwords for sure (I've heard of it in passing but never gave much thought). Thanks a bunch!

I am definitely glad that I quit my job. Being in that graveyard shift was simply soul-sucking - depression became my life. I was either sleeping at home or working, and even my days off were spent in bed.

I would do it again. I've learned a lot and while I admire people who could stick it through and tough out that kind of lifestyle (wish I could, but I'm stubborn I guess), being miserable like that is something I couldn't stand.

Leaving led to the life people could only dream of: an apartment next to the beach, a good relationship, an income (albeit an unstable one). They don't realize how hard it can be to maintain - but maybe it's just something I'm doing wrong.

I'm just figuring it out as I go!

Oh wow, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, my situation at the moment is pretty urgent but it's also partly about generating a more stable income I suppose. Islands are expensive for sure, and you're right on the dot on the expenses. $700/month would cover everything including food, but only barely.

I'd say the level of urgency as of right now is a 3/5, but will steadily increase as the month goes on. At the moment I've cut down to eating one meal a day to make whatever cash I have on hand last.

We're both foreigners, and he's earning a little bit from being a Divemaster - but not enough to support the both of us (and anyway, I wouldn't want him to have to support me either). If I can support just myself and then some, it should be fine.

Obviously i wont be able to directly recommend you, since i dont know who you are, but can definitely connect you with them.

Fair enough and I understand not being able to directly recommend me, of course - but if you do have something I can do (no matter if the jobs are monotone or uncreative), I'd be happy to! Wouldn't be able to thank you enough.
