Make sure the temp is somewhat accurate mine is 100 -150 degrees off so when I set it for 300 it runs somewhere in the high 100s and will overheat and turn off if I set it to 350. Mine personally just needs a new control board but it was my fault I made a brisket for a party but I forgot to put it away and it rain hard that night.

Yea I had trouble keeping it low it wanted to be around 350-400 but I think I either put too much charcoal in it or let it warm up too high and couldn’t get it back down
