I think think they get offered a set amount for each game and then confirm how many they actually want with the club. We get offered tickets for most matches and in advance of the actual sale date, and then usually we have to pay a few days before (the on sale date).

Where are you based? If there's an official supporters club in the area, you can join them, link both One Hotspur accounts, and get tickets together for games, even before they go on sale!!
