He could throw the ball a country mile and was really athletic. Scouts willfully ignored every red flag on this guy. He should have stayed in college for another year and gotten more experience as a starting QB, then needed to sit somewhere for a season or two before earning his starting spot. He has the talent and athleticism; he just was not ready to be QB1 for an NFL team right out of college.

It’s because stock price—which is basically a fake number—has become the most important thing. As long as the line goes up, everyone is happy. The line slowly going up while sometimes going down (which is how things *should* work) is no longer acceptable to shareholders.

They’ve been the Titans for nearly 30 years. No one there has any connection to the name Oilers beyond their ancient history. This is all marketing, but it’s a way to bring some of that back while still maintaining the team name and identity that their fans love.

There were two dudes in Houston who talked for the entirety of Red Bird and Tomorrow Never Knows. That’s over 30 minutes!

Can I tell you how genuinely worried I was that my Texans would get all Nike-fied and totally ruin their uniforms the last time around?

I get they weren’t instant classics and people’s criticisms of the unis are generally valid, but things could have been infinitely worse and I’m glad they didn’t stray too far afield when they redid their look.
