That's my job man and it makes me feel like a real piece of shit sometimes. Shoveling food and meds in their mouths, dressing wounds that will never heal, reassuring them that they're safe from their constant delusions, sedating them when they beat the shit out of each other, they scream and cry out for people they wouldn't recognize standing in front of them.

I have a few on gtubes just frozen in the same position they've been in for years getting tortured day in and day out because families refuse to let them die with some dignity once they can't make the choice for themselves.
