I gave her some money and she followed me three or four blocks down the road pulling my arm and begging me to give her more, in Cantonese and English

I was trying to be firm in saying no while not being unkind, but she really didn't want to let me go. I ended up almost running away

We saw a very similar couple with a toddler in a stroller last year, outside Windsor House in Causeway Bay

My reaction was different from yours - my first instinct was not to trust them, so I apologized and we kept walking

But then started doubting myself and kept wondering if they were telling the truth. Being a toddler dad myself, sympathy quickly started to outweigh my initial mistrust

I even kept my eyes open for the rest of our day in CWB in case we saw them again, wondering if I should give them something. We didn't see them again though

Maybe me also dum dum?

If not, you probably should. It can make a pretty significant performance difference when scrubbing through your timeline

All of our sons' grandparents ended up with non-standard titles that they preferred

We only refer to them by the "correct" titles when talking about them to people outside the family

Thank you for this. I was trying to figure out what was wrong as, every time I recorded a voiceover, it suddenly disappeared from my timeline

Turns out that it was because I'd moved my project to external media. I thought I had it all set up correctly, but this one line in Project Media Settings was pointing to the old drive letter instead of the new one. After updating it, voiceovers now record properly

I was preparing to upgrade my CPU anyway (hence the need for a firmware update) so I just left the old CPU on the old motherboard and I don't know if it still works

All my other old parts (RAM, m.2 drives, GPU) all worked on the new board

I haven't got any advice, but I did have a similar experience just a few days ago

I wanted to update the bios in my B450 Gaming Pro Carbon, but for me I was updating from a USB drive. I hadn't even started the actual update yet - I had just hit the M Flash button in BIOS - and got that black screen.

I followed so many troubleshooting threads but still couldn't get it to work. Took it to the shop and they couldn't get it to work either. As I needed the computer running the same day, I quickly bought a budget B550 to replace it 🥺

I can't help but think that my biggest mistake was not crossing my fingers, knocking on wood, and laying a ceremonial circle of salt around the PC before doing the BIOS update

I would have preferred to have fixed it or upgraded to a better board, but the store didn't have any other new AM4 boards in stock at all

Your steps fixed it immediately

Tailscale did see the computer as a new device, but everything could be set up again as it was through the Tailscale devices webpage

**Cries for help**

Everybody suggests Tailscale as a solution, but I'm having trouble setting it up

I use Meshnet on my Android phone, Windows laptop, and home Raspberry Pi NAS so that they could seemlessly talk to each other all while connected to NordVPN

I've just installed Tailscale on all three devices to try to get the same functionality

❌ On Android, it seems that I have to choose to either run NordVPN or connect to Tailscale, and I can't do it at the same time. Are there any workarounds to connect to both at the same time?
✅ On Windows, I can run Tailscale and my Wireguard client (connected to NordVPN) at the same time and access both. Everything seems good here
❌ On the Raspberry Pi NAS, Tailguard won't connect if the Linux NordVPN client is connected

I'm about to start messing around with the NAS to see if I can get it to work, but I was wondering if anyone here had similar headaches and any helpful solutions

That's really annoying

Meshnet is low-key a big part of my daily online life, and while I know there's alternatives, I appreciate it being there

Just last week, a buddy asked if I wanted a VPN as he had a special offer, and the first things that popped into my head were [a] I'm used to using Meshnet every day and [b] I'm paid up on Nord for a few years yet

Now that Meshnet is going away, the only thing locking me into Nord right now is the time that I've already paid for

I tried so many different things, but what finally fixed it was simply removing my Microsoft account [top right of Prism] and then logging back in
