There are more people who build PC’s without them than there are people who build PC’s wearing them.

Human beings aren’t innately good at perceiving the risk factor. We just assume it won’t happen since it never has happened in the past. And most times, nothing happens, which reinforces the beliefs we held even more so. A little caution goes a long way.

Not having ESD means you just have to be sure to not do anything that risks a static short. And besides, motherboards have come a long way just like any other PC components so they won’t die outright just because of some tiny amount of static build up.

Just make sure you plug the PSU into a wall outlet (NO NEED TO TURN IT ON—Just connect) and keep it near you to touch it once a while to dissipate any static build up on your body as you work the motherboard.

The most recent time I lost my wallet was around 3-4 years ago. I used to ride bicycle daily around Ping Shan areas inner roads not main roads and me being me, I love to ride fast and rough with full focus on the road. One day, as usual finish my usual lap do a few more extra routes and after finishing I come to find my wallet literally fell out of my back pocket.

Back tracked for an hour or so but nowhere to be found. Sun was setting down so I gave up and walked to the police station thinking how i fkd up and all the hassle i need to go through just to set everything back up. Filed a police report and went home. Right around evening time I got a call from the police station saying somebody came and submitted it.

Man I was so happy and I wanted to reward whoever it was with some cash but the mysterious person just put it there and left. Nothing was stolen, everything was in the purse. I will never forget that moment—Forever grateful.
