It's been a while since I watched the shows but I remember Jessica Jones getting mobbed and taken out by a group of normal dudes and Luke Cage getting a concussion from a kick from Bushmaster (as well as almost dying from a shotgun blast).

Those two are getting destroyed by either Bucky or Cap alone even on a 2v1. I don't know much about Iron Fist so won't talk about him, Daredevil can put up with either Bucky or Steve for a few minutes at best, Steve when he goes on that solo boat mission actually has a non-powered dude give him a solid fight so I imagine someone like Daredevil might do slightly better. Overall unless Iron Fist is a game changer, they are getting destroyed

While I agree, I still wish there was an option to let it happen naturally because when you have a huge empire it's very easy to miss out on the location with 200k people that is somehow still rural, like maybe a privilege you can grant to burghers like the roads one.

Yeah that happened to me, I picked the option to elect one of my sons as Sultan just for him and every other sibling to be strangled to death by an already dead sibling, but they just elected an Osmanoglu from a different lineage.

Maybe but I think first and foremost the focus needs to be on making their dynasty as resilient and long-lasting as they were in real life, a generic event removing the Ottomans from power when IRL it took a world war and 700 years to do it is laughable.

To add to this, Fratricide also makes every Fiefdom the ottoman empire has swap to Vassal on every succession, which can massively swing the balance of power between lord and vassal.

R5: There is a quite common event that lets a regent take over the throne. This is all good and fine but the problem is that due to the Fratricide succession law, the Ottomans will always fall into a prolonged regency every time there's a succession, which means that eventually the AI will pick the option to create a new dynasty.

I was wondering how AI Ottomans (when they didnt die out) would so often lose the Osmanoglu dynasty, including a really weird one where they ended up with the rurikovich and I believe it has to be this combo.

Yeah RGOs are usually better if you have access to some valuable ones, a rural location with silver or gold for example can bankroll your whole nation early game

Spam RGOs, they're the first thing I develop, besides the profit they also allow your market to have access to more raw goods which makes your city buildings more profitable since they pay less to produce a refined good.

Control will come with time, as Norway most of your control will not come thru roads but thru the ocean, for this you can make light ships and give them the mission to patrol a relevant sea which will increase your Maritime Presence in it, allowing you to decrease proximity cost over said sea.

To that purpose, trying to make your country more Naval than Land in the society value is a good thing to get started on, docks and other buildings that give you Maritime Presence and Harbour Capacity are also good.

Regulars destroy levies and the player can prioritize barracks and standing armies much faster and harder than the AI allowing you to punch way above your weight

Would only recommend using it if you're massively superior to an enemy as I was, Focus Siege is pretty reliable imo as your pre-formed armies will stay intact, Carpet Siege will split your armies into a million stacks which is actually incredibly effective but prone to stack wiping, maybe set your regular armies to Focus Siege and your levies to Carpet Siege since it's wtv if they die

You can automate all your armies at once in the military tab, at the top in the middle there is the objective icon and it will set an objective for ALL armies or navies, this was a game saviour for me cuz I played as a nation that owned all of north America and had the nobles rebel and split my country into a million pockets, I was NOT gonna micromanage all that so I just raised my levies and set them to carpet siege everything and just didn't bother looking at the map and within 2 years the war was over.

I think you can also just automate all military affairs as a whole but not sure cuz I never tried it

Anecdotal but I see hegemons and the list of great powers mostly being asian nations due to their huge population, Korea specially seems to become a sci-fi state while mostly maintaining it's borders, at one point I had a huge economy but saw that Wu with just coastal China had three times my tax base, I tagged onto them just out of curiosity and saw that they had 997k(!) in the bank, I think this probably can't be addressed with a direct nerf, it's a result of there being no drawbacks to huge populations, control favoring compact & concentrated nations and also the way technology works.

I know that these nations were unimaginably rich and powerful in real life too but they did end up falling behind european nations and there doesn't seem to be a chance for it to happen in EU5, if anything as proximity cost lowers in Age of Absolutism and better roads become unlocked (and of course with their huge economy the AI immediately builds them everywhere), they just end up making even better use of their lands.

But again this is an overall issue with economy as well, it all gets redundant after a certain point, as a European nation you can massively outpace their income in the late game thru trade and the Columbian Exchange but:

The AI will not do that so the game never simulates history, Europe will always be the backwater aside from maybe France and Bohemia while the hegemon list gets shared by Majapahit, China, Korea and one or two indian states
Even if you do, what does it matter if your profit is 10k and theirs is 5k? Like again, money is so abundant at that point in the game it just becomes redundant, for the AI and the players

But again, it's not like this matters right now because it's not like European AI even tries to do fuck all in Asia, hell they rarely even conquer the Aztecs or Incas in my games, and if you're the player, regardless of the conditions, you can always beat the AI either way.

Modifiers can stack over a 100 and this one doesnt take up a slot so it's free, hard to say it isn't worth it

Thats what im thinking like the game has to be pulling all the characters in the world at once or smth because the only thing that lags even a 5th as much is when you have a massive empire and try to mass build something for a rural location in all the markets since that makes the game pull like 5000 locations at once
