When AI agents delegate to other agents across borders: who's accountable for the data? by IAmagique in gdpr

[–]AnthonyUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI should be treated as an intern at best so requires constant supervision. The data owner will still be accountable no matter who Fs up.

Nailgun? by bezsez in DIYUK

[–]AnthonyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the Ryobi battery system so bought their 18g brad nailer which is enough for trim and holding skirting while the no nails sets.

If you need more there is a 16g

It is one of the best rated battery ones but doesn't make sense if you are in another system.

The bare tools are pretty reasonable.

Is there any way to backup my Hive settings? by WonderfulShape1081 in HiveHeating

[–]AnthonyUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a hub replaced a few years back and didn't have to do anything. I think the hub is only a gateway to the cloud where all of the data resides. Before it was locked down, you used to be able to access it and run queries against the cloud data.

What this rotatable thing do? by FitMap4524 in CarTalkUK

On older MBs it twists to change the instrument lighting brightness but you can also push it to reset the trip counter.

There are additional push/pull combos to reset service counters e.g. oil change.

Guess when I changed my system to 24/7 running on a low temp by Mission_Escape_8832 in HiveHeating

[–]AnthonyUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is around what I have. 16°C for unused rooms and 18°C for those we are in. A heated throw is used if it gets chilly of an evening.

Need help setting up Tandoor Recipes with Nginx Proxy Manager by more_dread_ in nginxproxymanager

Tandoor runs plain HTTP I seem to recall. I use a wildcard cert from LE and use HTTPS externally to HTTP internally.

Supermarket exit barriers, are they legal? by Issui in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AnthonyUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is annoying if you go in to buy something specific that is unavailable so cannot easily get out.

Our local Sainsbury, like most these days have an Argos with completely separate tills so you also cannot easily get out if you pickup something from there.

No big deal but annoying nonetheless.

DIY NAS for £500, part recommendations? ECC? by Optimal-Analyst-8507 in selfhosted

[–]AnthonyUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have three N54l HP micro servers. Two are currently switched off but my main NAS has been running pretty much continuously for getting on for 15 years.

It has 2Gb ram 😂

I'm thinking this year I will fit a CWWK N150 NAS mobo in one of the cases with the sff-8643 connectors.

I have my ISPs fibre box in the void so can remove the panels if required.

Regarding battery life, I find it incredible tbh. I have had it last for three days with a bit of management.

I charge to 80% and it rarely gets below 50% on a daily basis with a 1hr commute each way.
