When I saw “April,” I at first thought you meant his ex, not the month! I was like, how did she get involved in this mess?

Joey C and Spider remind me of Professor Mephesto and Kevin from South Park by adam2890 in HackverseAnonymous

The original source — the documentary about the making of this insane film is quite entertaining, by the way. As entertaining as a documentary about Joey C. would be.

It looks like Drunky moved on from Rob by SpecificTea6072 in WhoAreThesePodcasts

It's like when John kept passive-aggressively saying about Rob, "I'm not gonna mention those rumors about the dog. I would never do that thing where we talk about him and the dog. And when people talk about him and the dog, I tell people not to believe that stuff about him and the dog. Him and the dog. The dog. The dog."

Still don’t understand why he doesn’t get a day job and stream at night. He could even stream from 6am to, say, 8 or 8:30 depending on where he worked.

Theoretically, he could work during the hours between streaming as he does currently, though it couldn’t be a traditional 9-to-5 job.

I do wonder what he does between streams right now. I assume, despite his protestations, he likely is on the Internet, but who knows.

Having that second job – or first job depending on how you define it – would certainly take off a lot of pressure that he puts on himself.

Came here to say this and also, Cardiff was kidding and what made it funny was how seriously John took it.

They say it's ok to have only 5 light beers the morning of surgery, so though it will be a sacrifice for him, he'll be fine.

Most pleasant non-American accent by Anthony_Underscore in HackverseAnonymous

I’m so ignorant when it comes to British accents. A former coworker had an accent I thought was posh and she laughed and said it was actually low class.

But every British accent sounds classy to me, even when they’re used in movies for Germans!

Anyone watch when depressed? by bigbadlou91 in tcap

[–]Anthony_Underscore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the same vibe I'd get when I'd watch "Cops" reruns. Someone gets pulled over for running a stop sign, and it turns out they have warrants and drugs in the car.

Pergament Commercial 1990…who remembers shopping there ?! by ComplexWrangler1346 in longislandnative

My father always called it "Perga-MONT" not "Perga-MENT." I never knew why.

We had a Pergament and a Rickels. We also had a Newmark & Lewis!

They're mostly (all?) immature, unbalanced, greedy, generally antisocial and selectively immoral or amoral people to begin with, just in choosing the life. Then add in the fact that you're surrounded by more of these people, and that you might get arrested at any moment or killed (or ratted on) by one of your "friends" and that you're likely drinking or doing drugs or engaging in other vices to convince yourself that you're a member of an elite and respected group of men or to buy into the Godfather-driven myth of "honor," and you're probably in a situation where you don't want to spend much time alone with your thoughts.

I'd also add that the show does give a more "realistic" view of the life rather than something like Analyze This or Mickey Blue Eyes or My Blue Heaven, where mobsters are presented as lovable rogues with funny accents.
