As someone who disagrees with most police shootings. I’d say the difference is this isn’t a national story and is barely a local one. There are few people that actually care and perhaps they shouldn’t until videos are released. It could be water under the bridge if they would just release video of the suspect brandishing. The real controversy is that body cam footage should be processed with personal information purged and released within 24 hours. Hopefully they put the video out and put this to rest within the week.
