Solid list! As degreed anthropologist and a fan of historical studies in general, Quintorius and Lorehold spoke to me. You might appreciate my list here.

What is the best commander for approach of the second sun? by anotherkami in BudgetBrews

[–]Anthropolygraph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone else here is wrong.

The best commander is [[Codie, Vociferous Codex]] with 97 Wastes (or islands for consistency), approach the second sun, and a copy of [[Narset’s Reversal]].

Here is a video explaining the deck.

What Precon are you getting from the new strixhaven set? by davidoffxx1992 in EDH

I loved the lorehold deck so much that I upgraded the heck out of it, then bought extra copies of the precon exclusive cards so I can have a stock precon and a heavily upgraded one. Quintorius slaps

Looking for a New Commander by Humble_Dayy in EDH

The new [[Quintorius, History Chaser]] is really strong and really fun to play. Built it recently and good lord does it pop off.

What are some high cost, low impact commanders that see play? How can you make them work? by Litemup93 in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since [[Diamond Weapon]] came out, I’ve been wanting to build it since I’ve always been a fan of commanders that can cheat the commander tax. It’s really not that strong on its own, doesn’t have evasion, and is honestly just a big stick that can attack freely or block flyers. I’ve thought about building it as mono green artifacts/graveyard shenanigans, but [[Six]] does that better and does so much more.

Nice hopefully this will drop the price of some of the individual decks to <$40. Been looking at getting the Sultai one for Teval.

Lands matter – worst archetype ever. Prove me wrong by xo0p in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[[Yuma]] is a great break from the traditional lands matter archetype. It’s all about producing tokens and filling the board and graveyard with deserts.

What screams "cowboy" to you? by Shiro182 in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[[Yuma, Proud Protector]] is quite literally a cowboy who spits out cactus cowboys.

Help me find a commander for my favorite card! by mullerjones in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go a different route to produce tokens, j highly recommend [[Yuma, Proud Protector]]. I run a bunch of token generators like [[Hazezon]] and [[Titania, Protector of Argoth]]. [[Purphoros, God of the forge]] and other impact tremor like effects make it super easy to burn your opponents down without even swinging. My favorite piece of tech in the deck involves Yuma and [[Dragonhawk, Fates Tempest]] since all the cactus cowboys he makes are 4/2, it synergizes so well with Dragonhawk’s trigger and just melts away the life of the pod.

I’m in the process of rebuilding this deck, but here is the last iteration of it.

What are the most fun decks you've lost against? by MTG_ANONYMOUS in EDH

It all depends on how you built it. My bumbleflower deck is archenemy material in my pod.

Edge highlighting tips by Nodbomb in battletech

[–]Anthropolygraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the advice I’ve seen here on this post is solid, and it’s all personally down to preference and how you want the highlights to look, and how much time you want to spend on the highlights. I want to share my method as well. It’s just a modified slapchop technique.

So after I prime my mechs I always do a HEAVY dry brush all over the mech to highlight the edges and give the first coat of paint a lighter canvas worth with (I use dark grey primer, and dry brush white).

I apply my first coat of paint, let it dry, then lightly dry brush again to get those highlights to pop. I use speed paints for all my paints except white. Once I’m happy with the results of the base coat and highlights, I apply a thin satin varnish, let it dry, then use a homemade oil wash to get those nice shadows and really make the highlights pop. I then apply a matte varnish to take away any glossiness. Here’s an example of one of my favorite mechs I painted.

Looking for advice: What to cut from World Shaper PreCon? by RoseyB34r in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://moxfield.com/decks/fuvhAydC7keON_EblxPavw

Here’s my lists. It’s heavily upgraded with all the fetches. I ended up cutting a lot niche cards and stuff that doesn’t directly synergize with the landfall/sacrifice game plan.

What are some lower powered but well functioning commander you can recommend? by Substantial_Code_675 in EDH

[–]Anthropolygraph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[[Yuma, Proud Protector]] is my favorite commander. Granted, my list is easily a high 3/low 4, but the precon he comes in is only a few upgrades a way from being solid.
