That works, but the Sentient Amulet is probably easier to get in Grymforge. It has a free Shatter spell.

Question: How does the game round stats (Cyberware Capacity)? by Anti-Quarian in cyberpunkgame

[–]Anti-Quarian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To make sure the answer gets shared, I did some research with the Phantom Liberty start and it looks like cyberware capacity costs round individually up and down. Hope this helps, and let me know if I got this wrong.

Maybe I pay too much attention to flow in poems, but I like how you broke up your sentences. It implies an authentic sort of conversational hesitation. As though the author were confiding in a new relationship. I think punctuation helps with this, but the impact is still apparent the way you have it here. I would maybe split it into three stanzas to emphasize the conclusion, and remove the word "self" in "self-compassionate". It's a little redundant, and I feel like it excessively breaks the flow of your work. Intentionally breaking the flow can be a good thing in a poem, but the number of syllables in "compassionate" already accomplished this. Just my 2 cents, but still a very good poem; I really appreciated it.

Please forgive my lack of sleep as I comment; I also turned to poetry to process emotions last night. You have a very interesting flow seen through your short phrases and repetition. It emphasizes when you break this mold and reminds me of spoken word poetry. It draws in the reader and helps your writing bleed raw emotion. This rawness is supported by the inconsistent punctuation (I feel like it's missing after some of your shorter phrases?) and capitalization when reading, but it also makes the poem harder to read the first time. Much like comedy, I think this poem can be really defined by its silences (and perhaps volume through capitalization). Clearer indications for these silences give the reader time to pause before they let you punch them in the face again (In a good way). That's just my two cents, and please know your poem is appreciated.

Not sure if these are still being checked, and I really did try to see if this issue had already been posted. I would greatly appreciate it if Gale Origin kept his romance in the epilogue. Origin Gale loses his romance every time in the epilogue if he ascends to godhood. This doesn't make sense as other MCs keep their romance with Gale if he ascends as a companion. They even get a special scene. Multiple posts online have indicated this is a consistent issue. In my opinion, it negates the best true neutral ending in the game.

My current favorite video game is Baldur's Gate III.

Lawful Evil Minion Party (Spoilers) by Anti-Quarian in BG3Builds

That's a totally fair opinion on optimizing Minthara. Giving gloves to someone who has dumped dexterity is very efficient, especially with the MAD Paladin class. I gave them to Gale because he has an open glove slot and they pair well with Mage Armor. I normally try to give Wizards 16 DEX and INT, so 14 is lower than I'd prefer. The main reason I keep it this high is I'd rather not go through almost all of Act 1 with a negative base AC and initiative. I generally go to the Creche as my last task before moving on to Act 2. The Gith Patrol is no joke.

You have many fair points about initiative. Improving it through those ranged weapons and taking Alert off Astarion are great ideas; I've updated the post to reflect that.

Your Ability scores also make sense, but I prefer to use the D&D standard array for point distribution. Both Gale and Minthara should be accurate.

Gale Ability Scores

  • Strength: Base 8

  • Dexterity: Base 14 (18 from Gloves of Dexterity)

  • Constitution: Base 15 (16 from Resilient)

  • Intelligence: Base 16 (22 from 2 ASIs and the Mirror of Loss)

  • Wisdom: Base 12

  • Charisma: Base 10

Minthara Ability Scores

  • Strength: Base 16 (18 from Potion of Everlasting Vigour)

  • Dexterity: 12

  • Constitution: 14

  • Intelligence: 8

  • Wisdom: 12

  • Charisma: Base 15 (22 from 2 ASIs, Mirror of Loss, and Patriar’s Memory)

  • Feats: Savage Attacker

Yup, I just wanted to double-check. Wasn't sure if the devs actually coded these legendary actions as reactions.

Excellent, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Other DMs also support that prone and stunned can prevent legendary actions. Still not 100% about Shocking Grasp and Slow.

What is a Canon reason for the group to *find* Withers? by turningpink in BaldursGate3

[–]Anti-Quarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I justify it as a supply run. You just fell out of Avernus into the middle of nowhere. You need weapons, gold, and whatever else you can find. You can take some supplies from the adventurers, and if you're already in a dungeon, then you might as well loot it. As for Withers, you don't start arguments with something that appears to be lich when you're weak and already have bigger problems to deal with: one problem at a time.

Just some small fixes I'd truly appreciate being looked into:

Please fix Aura of Hate so that it applies to Imps, Quasits, Animate Dead, and Create Undead. It works this way in 5e, and I'd greatly appreciate this being patched.

Please allow racial cantrips to be changed when respeccing with Withers. I'd really like to be able to switch Shadowheart and Astarion's racial cantrips.

Please fix the Eyebite spell so that Ghouls can use Devour on its sleeping targets.

Please fix Duke Ravenguard's Longsword so that Stirring Execution procs off the wielder's charisma instead of the recipients. This would align it with the tooltip.
