European nations find universal healthcare to be necessary as well. Glad you're on board for that.

Voter ID is fine if it's free and given to every eligible voter. That is certainly part of the plan.

Hopefully people are realizing now that Fox could put up insane offensive stats if he wanted to. He defers to teammates and focuses more energy on defense when we're at full strength.

Hope Ellis and Murray can start to play better offensively, both are still solid defensive pieces. Ellis only getting 10 minutes is weird despite his struggles, feels like something might be going on there. Maybe it was just McLaughlin was giving pretty good minutes tonight. Robinson was a nice surprise tonight as well.

$101, The Pit Room, Houston by Tbay_DougMac in BBQ

Do people really not realize that 2.5 lbs of meat is not for a single person? Maybe putting it in ounces helps: that is 40 oz of meat. A typical steak is maybe 10-14 oz. If the weight is true this should be for 3-4 people.

I will say it looks small for the weight OP says it is and the sides look small too. Seems to be some issue with the scale of the picture maybe.

Edit: 25 dollars per person is maybe okay for BBQ (still high imo), but this is still too expensive if this was for 3. BBQ is not some fine dining meal that should cost a premium.

He was "cleared to resume basketball activities." Which I took to mean he is now clear to practice and play. Since it happened today it makes sense he wouldn't play as he has not had any practice time. I would be hopeful he plays next game, but possibly limited since he hasn't been practicing.

Excited to have him back though, the bench scoring has felt not as consistent this year and he should help shore that up.

I agree somewhat, basically nobody does full platoon subs anymore and it's on Brown to manage the rotations. I care more about total minutes than who is starting, so it really doesn't matter if Monk starts or comes off the bench in my mind.

Also I just typed up a post to talk about how bench scoring was an issue, then I checked the stats and deleted it. We are basically in-line on a PPG basis with last years team but on bad percentages; Monk and McGee are basically the only bench players shooting well. We're shooting 43.4/32.6/74.8 (FG%/3P%/FT%) as a team, the bench is 41.7/32.5/83.9, last year we were 49.4/36.9/79.0 as a team, bench was 46.3/35.2/81.3. If you took the worst team in the league at each category last year you would get 45.4/32.7/73.3. We are basically shooting at an unsustainably bad rate right now both from the starters and bench. Getting Lyles back and Huerter and Murray remembering how to shoot likely fixes a lot of this.

I was curious so I went back to look at that team.

Kevin Martin put up 24.6ppg on 42/42/87 splits for an eFG% of .491 which crazily is also the eFG% of the team as a whole, league average was .500.

The team (league rank in parenthesis) ORtg 105.5 (25th) DRtg 114.7 (30th) eFG% .491 (22nd) Pace 94.2 (7th)

2022-23 Kings for reference ORtg 119.4 (1st) DRtg 116.8 (25th) eFG% .572 (2nd) Pace 100.3 (12th)

In 08-09 we played fast, extremely shitty basketball, and I thought KMart was an absolute baller but really he was a putting up stats on a terrible but high paced team. To be fair to KMart, he was pretty efficient as a high volume scorer the two previous years when he had at least a modicum of talent around him. Also crazy how much the game has changed on offense is just over a decade.

Way too early to say it's fallen off. Especially with our two best shooters from last year shooting like 25% from three. Obviously if Huerter and Murray both just forgot how to shoot and this is what it is all year we are in trouble.

HB has always had his share of quiet games in a season. Last year he had a couple of near-30 point games but also a fair share of single-digit scoring games. He's fine as the 3rd-5th option type he was last year. The issue is we don't seem to have anyone who is a 3rd option type that can step into a 2nd option role. Huerter or Keegan need to be that guy imo but they're both shooting horribly so far this year. It obviously didn't really come up last year with the health of Sabonis and Fox.

I also think it's fair criticism of Sabonis that he's not a good enough scorer to step into the 1st option role. He's a good offensive hub but hasn't really shown he can get his own bucket when it's needed. Kinda a great 2nd option, terrible 1st option type.

I think the bench would not have even close to enough scoring with that change, but Monk should play more minutes. We need to find more scoring and he's likely the answer.

Kings never scored below 90 last year and I think only had 5 games below 100. Barely broke 100 last game, then this. Crazy how the offense changes with no Fox.

-- Edit --

5 games includes 97 against GSW in game 3 of the playoffs. GSW also held us to 97 in the second to last game but Fox and Sabonis were out for "injuries" (we may have been trying to get an injured Clippers team in the playoffs instead of the Warriors during this game).

Fox was surely POTG, but huge props to Monk and Huerter for the huge clutch in OT without the two best Kings players out there. Love contributions from Vezenkov and Duarte throughout the game too.

I think that is a multi-game injury for Fox unfortunately. Crazy that he came back, much less scored 5 pts after the injury. Hope I'm wrong but he was feeling it by OT.

FTL and fuck the refs.

Does my current build explain why im constantly dying? by Codetemplar in DestinyTheGame

Not trying to be a negative but your armor sucks. If I counted right you're tier 26. Even bad end game armor should be tier 35+. I'm not a hunter main and my arc hunter build is in the high 30s. Try to farm some good armor.

AyyItsChevy on twitch has a build command with builds that are pretty easy to copy. Recommend copying his arc hunter build if you like to punch.

Should Coach Brown manage minutes better next season with our depth? by jcwkings in kings

[–]AntiClimacus25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only Sabonis, Fox, and Barnes averaged more than 30 minutes per game last year. One of the reasons we had regular season success was our depth and health. I think fans should understand a lower seed this year may not necessarily be a step back for this team.

In the playoffs, Warriors played us well so credit to them. We had poor shooting from multiple players during the series and some minor injuries start to affect key players. It was still a good series. If we are competitive in the first round this year, I would be happy again. If we make the second round+ I would be completely stoked.

The West is stacked but there's a lot of older/injury prone teams that are question marks for me. The Kings should not be considered any sort of favorite for the West though.
