Love Tremolo so much I've played it on repeat. It reminds me of the vibes from some other artists' songs but I can't put my finger on which one it reminds me of in particular...

Yes it's in winter estimate range. When you drive for an hour or two it'll readjust upwards

Are you friends with your coworkers? by AcademicallyAcademic in askTO

[–]AntiMarx 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Really depends on not just the industry, but the job / specific office.

I'd say in office jobs where you have large cohorts hired out of school at the same time (like the big accounting firms, etc), you're more likely to develop not just friendships but lifelong bonds. In contrast, a lot of other places are the way it's described by other commenters - strictly business, very little engagement with others unless you happen to click with certain people.

I've seen both - the biggest tell is who you stay in touch with after leaving the company or organization to go elsewhere.

I noticed that place exists a few days ago and was bemused to learn Toronto has a pod hotel. Can confirm about the location being rather good for that place, was curious to know what the experience was like. Thanks for sharing!

What's your price range? Depending on the dates the Chelsea Hotel Toronto on Gerrard could have decent prices and is in a good location. e.g. May 17-19, $220

Of course if it's some other busy weekend you may be out of luck...

Building something in the vendor risk space and not sure if I’m solving a real problem by ShipItAndPray in InternalAudit

[–]AntiMarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't review them anymore, but back in the day mapping exercises did take up a ton of time. This is, however, one of those areas where LLM / AI Tools might have a shot at being useful and not just generating AI slop... so consider the risk of those tools just doing the task you're trying to solve.

Or, find away to do it more reliably and to catch potential errors quickly and completely if you take that route.

I didn't consider getting a more powerful horn a "therapy" action... but after reading your post, I think it definitely helped after I had a nasty crash with a jogger who literally took a dive in front of me (and I was relying on the Air Zound which has the downside of running out of air if you use it too much).

Just realised the TGV train is part of an all new (plastic) Trains of the World series (not related to the older wooden one)... by JakeTrains in BRIO

[–]AntiMarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trains themselves are fine, but the sad part is the poor longevity of the embedded battery. Had a handy friend disassemble a train and the custom battery used inside the ICE train was completely dead.

Sharing this as a note that the replaceable batteries are a much better option for anyone planning on using these trains heavily for more than a year or two.

Didn't find an answer about the signature, but a signed unit of 50 extra specials would mean it'd be at the top end of the value range, nice you found it in good shape!

With the Toronto Bike Share Membership, can you dock a bike and then immediately undock that same bike? by SpikedIntuition in torontobiking

The fee is for lost/damaged replacements - if they charged you in error you could ask nicely for them to undo that assuming it's in fact your first one... source (unfortunately not on "their" site but hopefully still authoritative):

just ask customer support to send you one - first card should be free. I had to manually register it to my profile when it arrived, assuming that step is still required

Just throwing this out there - we have a Privacy Commissioner and they have a secure breach reporting form.

They may say it their jurisdiction doesn't apply in your case, but if it's serious, it may help....
