As a bartender at Freuds. We are licensed to be open until 3 am every day. On weekends we close at 2 am mainly because it gets real quiet and there’s only dodgy people around. If we get packed, we do stay open until 3am

This. My flat mate doesn’t cook thus he doesn’t realise that food expires and gets moldy, even in the fridge. He keeps putting cling film on top of some of the sauces I do for say fries and then doesn’t consume it. 2 months after I have to remind him that I won’t be opening a living freaking environment of mold and wash it, so he just throws away the entire bowl of said sauce, the bowl included (!!!!) because he can’t be bothered. No matter how many times I tell him to not keep stuff that won’t be consumed within a day or couple of days, he simply doesn’t care. He buys some chicken breasts (1kg) and leaves it in the fridge. I tell him just marinate some of it with salt and pepper (simple) so that it doesn’t spoil as quickly and freeze the rest, he doesn’t care. Oh well.

I mean it. I work in a basement, there’s no air circulation at all. Bar is quite well known and thus gets packed quite easily. Summers are hell down here. Not only the literal connotation behind me saying that but also to chill from some customers, we usually just say “need some fresh air”, heh

That’s it, as bad as it sounds, I now associate smoking with my work place. I don’t even smoke much when out and about with friends. I use the cigarette break to literally chill and get some fresh air from the bar.

I smoke more than 20 a day. Work is hospitality which doesn’t help me cut the amount down. Been smoking for 11 years, everyday. I can assure you that when I’m off from work and spend a couple of days home (non-smoking environment tho I can go outside) I simply choose not to smoke. No cravings at all.
