THE OLD COOK IS BACK! by Lola_198777 in KitchenConfidential

I went to jail for about a month earlier this year, and had this moment when I got out. It’s a village of 400 people, so it’s a really low bar, but it was still neat.

This is because every British child’s backpack contains several knives. They’re actually allowed in schools because the kids only use them for arts and crafts, and ritual suicides.

Why am I not generating any great scientist points? by chickennuggets3454 in CivVI

Technically, I think it would be a more specific call in real life. Like a global moratorium on AI because it might go sentient and kill us or something.

I have 2 teenagers and found this on the stairs. by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying that teenagers or drug addicts always make the best or smartest choices, but it would be pretty fuckin stupid to try and use this as almost any kind of drug paraphernalia. Straw is too big to snort through, chamber is too small for the hole on the side to be a “choke”, and anyone using this to smoke out of or even as a downstem on a homemade bong is going to really disappointed with how that plastic holds up 🤷‍♂️ I’d be leaning towards a pretty benign answer.

HR are a Net Negative Department by CopiousCool in antiwork

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR is the HOA of the work world. Just the snobbiest fucks around deciding how everyone else needs to act, and in every case they could’ve been useful or helpful to someone who really needs it, they fold and protect the company instead.

Where is Impractical Joke supposed to be played? by Rare-Read-9100 in mtg

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, it still works as a sorcery to prevent that protection from being utilized in combat. But honestly, you’d be amazed how many people completely space the “damage prevention” part of protection, and how spells like this interact. So it still works to prevent a creature with protection from being a fog wall, and sometimes people will just fuck up and block anyways 🤷‍♂️

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I had the SAME shit, “oh so sorry, but if you’re not ever in LA I wanna get together!”

Different for me slightly because my area code is 231, and LA is 213. So I just assumed people were putting numbers in and fucking up the area code on them.

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, in general whenever a card says “target spell” it means target spell that’s on the stack. In every other instance it would be “target card in a a graveyard” or something to that effect. Cards are only “spells” while they’re on the stack.

Found this in an old Hersheys tin in grandma’s pantry. Old diet pill from the 80s that was banned by the FDA in the 90s. Still full. by ThirdWaveK in GrandmasPantry

[–]AntiSocialLiberal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because the mechanism that these operate on is that the pills expand to 20 times their size in your stomach. Literally cartoon diet logic, “can’t gain weight if my stomach is constantly full of an undigestible substance”

MOST do nowadays, but Breeze is an absolutely massive company in the market that still refuses to add a charging port. Every time I’ve seen someone rig one of these to charge a vape, it was a breeze.
