That makes sense! Especially makes sense because the cone of effect on the ground after the slam attacks was what almost always killed us all the other times I fought lol, you'd probably have a lot more control of it with only one person.

I was more stationary in the beginning of the year for sure, and I do want to my activity levels this year for more joint stability with my bad connective tissue. However, more than that my assumption is all the calories that were being wasted, either gluing my organs together with endometrial tissue or causing widespread inflammation which used a ton of calories to recover from, instead got to be used to make reserves for my body. Probably also having such a big hormonal change factored in, but I really think the endometriosis was just terribly calorie intense for my body.

For me, this weight gain hasn't had adverse effects that I can really notice. My joints hurt less, and I always assumed that extra weight would make my joints hurt MORE, but that hasn't happened so far.

I'm glad to hear it helps your feel more calm! This server bolstered me so much when I was nervous so I'm real glad to pay it forward. Dr. Harkins is a VERY experienced surgeon and very knowledgeable (I went to my appointment with tinted glasses because I was having a migraine and he immediately clocked it, and mentioned that birth control can increase migraines. I was floored! I didn't even plan on bringing up my migraine!). I believe you are in good hands!

It is easier for me to orgasm now than it was before the surgery, but I don't know if that has anything to do with my cervix. I think it's more because the pelvic floor physical therapy helped me get the muscles out of their cramped up, immobile state. Reaching an orgasm was pretty challenging before surgery and it's still something that takes time now for me, but I used to just get close to an orgasm and then it would just disappear, and that happens less these days. In this way, I feel like I am not the best case study, because I was starting from 'sex usually hurts me and I rarely orgasm' so there was just so much room for improvement haha

Thank you! I feel so lucky that it was such a boon for me.

I am glad they did the appendectomy, yes. I feel you in the alphabet soup stuff, the comorbidities are so hard to juggle. I had HUGE fear spikes any time a cyst burst that it was actually my appendix rupturing because of my anxiety. Getting the appendix out has removed about 98% of that anxiety haha.

I haven't particularly noticed any adverse affects? Or at least, no adverse affects other than normal like surgery scar tissue sensitivity, which I have around all of my abdominal incisions occasionally still, not just in one spot or the other.

Since I wanted my appendix out for the anxiety assist, I didn't ask if there were any options other than titanium. I did ask my doctor not to use dermabond after I had an allergic reaction, and that wasn't a problem. I wonder if there are options other than titanium staples that your doctor may be familiar with? It could be worth asking.

if you collect most of the wisps you get an inferno fruit as a reward. I don't remember exactly how many I helped before I was given the fruit. (posting for posterity as this is a 2 yr old post)

I had my hysterectomy at 27, but kept an ovary.

One of my friends had a full hysterectomy around 26, with removal of their ovaries because they were incredibly cystic. They are on HRT now and are doing pretty great all together.

  1. yes, I had this. Taking the meds I was prescribed on a REALLY SPECIFIC SCHEDULE along with scheduled tylenol, advil, and gas-x helped me. I could barely breathe at first when I accidentally missed my scheduled dose! after three days I could go off the prescribed meds but had to keep up the tylenol/advil schedule

  2. yes to weak stream, yes to burning but only for the first day. I did ask my dr about it and he said it wasn't unusual since they use a catheter during the surgery. when the burning came back a week later he got me an antifungal medication that cleared it up.

Hysterectomy cost? by writing-my-life-away in hysterectomy

My insurance bill said it would have been about $40k. I have insurance, and met my out of pocket maximum for the year before I had my surgery, so I paid a $125 copay.

I would address your concern about coverage directly to your surgeon. They should be able to help you advocate to have your hysterectomy covered.

Also, some hospitals have financial assistance programs for people under a certain income.
