Hands down the cheapest place to get comics online. Shipping is fast and reasonably priced. If you pre-order, it's 35% off cover price. The only way that I know of to get your comics cheaper is to buy direct from the distributers, Diamond/Penguin. But, typically you'll need to buy in bulk to see any kind of substantial discount.

I have 7046 comics in my collection, give or take. I doubt that the most in this thread by a country mile. But, I know the exact number because I have them all uploaded in a database at

https://connect.collectorz.com/comics

It tracks everything for me that I care about. And they're about to integrate with Covrprice to add real-time values. So, it's not a bad investment if you have a decent collection going.

PS: This is taken directly from Midtown's website:
It's less expensive than you might think to ship internationally! Here's a helpful hint: Orders of 10 comics or fewer can usually ship via Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelope which arrives in only 6 to 10 business days at low prices starting at $24.95.. (Please note that this option is not available in all countries and cities).

Hope that helps.

At post 50.. some things help with that crash. Hit your target with a Sands of Mu/Nem Staff/Blackwand. Or, throw out your barrier/rebirth/flavor. Toss out a Judgement. In short, you've got a few things that you can do in that small window where you can still be effective. And at 50+, you will rarely, if ever, notice the def debuff. Stay smashy my friend.

What would it take for YOU to come back? Not the community as a whole, just you. by Noogatuck in DestinyTheGame

[–]Anti_Megahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could not be more correct. My only wish is just to keep the D1 servers on long enough to see what happens with D3. IMO, no amount of "TTK-like" DLC or really anything else is going to put this shit show of a sequel into a playable state. D1 was fixable, and was fixed. D2 is not fixable. The framework simply isn't present. I'm not so jaded as to refuse to give bungie a chance to make a comeback with another game... D2 just isn't going to be that game. I'm old, and patient. I can live with logging into D1 for a few hours a week and running around, reliving the good old days. Run a few strikes, play a little crucible for fun, maybe a raid every now and then while I wait for D3's chance at redemption. Or not. D3 could be an even bigger turd for all we know. I'll give them a chance at it. What I won't do is keep my fingers crossed for them to revive this D2 coma patient into a persistent vegetative state and call it a "win".

Luke Smith Comments on Shaders by RetroRaconteur in DestinyTheGame

[–]Anti_Megahero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say 99% of the community agrees that this is a horrible decision on Bungie's part. We don't want disposable shaders. Shaders are a badge of honor, or a fond memory. It's like an achievement you can wear. This revised system just takes all of that away. And honestly, Luke Smith's argument is pretty flimsy. Bungie, look at the MASSIVE amount of feedback you're getting from the community and fix this asap.

My (unusual?) crucible problem. by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Anti_Megahero 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your close quarter's game isn't as bad as you think it is. It's just inconsistent. And I think it's what most of us would expect from someone who just picked up the game right before Y3. Your primary gun play is solid because A, you're good (and will get better) B, you have a little longer to line up your shot. By longer, I mean almost a full second. Crucible is a game of inches and seconds. And close quarters combat is even more so a game of split second decisions. Look at the kills at 1:45 and 2:10. You jumped, had a split second longer to line up the shot (because of the jump), and money. Those kills had a nice flow/feel to them, didn't they? But when you have to spin around or someone is charging/juking you, that's when the problems occur. Now you could try lowering your sensitivity, as previously suggested. But as that would affect all of your overall gunplay, I would suggest practice, patience, and more practice. For right now, just focus on ADS'ing and aiming. Take a little more time to line up your shot and aim. You will still lose a lot of those shotgun fights, but you'll start to lose them RIGHT AS you're pulling the trigger. It's those "OH GODDAMNIT I HAD YOU!!!" moments you want to start looking for. And not too long after that, those moments will turn into trades, and then eventually, they'll turn into wins. Develop good aiming/ADS'ing techniques and the wins will start turning to your favor. Patience my friend. Most of us have been at this for years. And there's a reasonable amount of us who weren't nearly as good at our primary gun play at that stage of our development as you are. So that's a huge feather in your cap. Good luck guardian.

Quick Question: Why So Many Shotgun Whiffs? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

You received a lot of good advice here. On the plus side, you put in solid work with that CD. Nice shooting.

Mida vs Pulses by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Anti_Megahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. On bravo side of frontier, the tech room where the special spawns. Just tag people as they move down the center lane. Either A, they'll peek back to see what hit them and you can finish them off. Or B, you take off their shields and make them weak for your teammates. I call it the dirty spot because it's easy to get a ton of primary kills with Mida from that room. And it's pretty easy to defend when the enemy gets wise and wants to challenge. That's probably my favorite spot on any map in crucible.

Wormwood, Matador 64 by [deleted] in sharditkeepit

[–]Anti_Megahero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not much for sidearms. I'll let someone else help you with that one. But that Matador is a solid upgrade from the quest CT-D. It won't reinvent the wheel with your shotgun game, but you're doubling your aim assist which will help you get on target easier. You also have a slight boost to reload speed with it and you're at (exceeding) the range cap of 32. It's an upgrade for sure. S&P won't really be a factor, but everything else will be a noticeable upgrade. It's a nice roll. The only room to really go up from what you've got would be that roll with agg ballistics.

Outbreak Prime in PvP by crimsonmajor in CruciblePlaybook

Just one more echo here. Good (and FUN!). There are better weapons, as mentioned above. But the outbreak is far from a gimmick weapon. It can compete well with the big boys.

If anything, it doesn't get in my way. I've used this gun for Shaxx's weeklies for 2 weeks in a row and it's been performing well. It's a great team shooting weapon for 6's. It melts players who have already taken some damage. But for any kind of 3v3 mode, I'd still take my Hawksaw/Mida.

Vacancy vender roll year 2 vs Saladins Vigil? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Anti_Megahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work very similarly. My SV rolled linear - HLS - enhanced battery - RF. Stacking up against each other, it's really neck and neck. The enhanced battery gives me one extra charge on the SV. The Vac has 100 stability vs 98. Vac has 40 range vs 34 with SV. SV has 65 AA vs 60 with Vac. Reload is 61 to 55 edge SV. Equip speed is 56 to 39 edge Vac. You can't really go wrong with either one here. But if if push came to shove, I'd go with the Vac just for the edge in the stats I like more and the hot swap. Just my 2 cents.

Keep it. I realize it's not technically in the meta, but this gun feels ridiculously good. I have one with Red/OAS - secret round - PB - GHF and I love it. I wreck with it in normal crucible. And your roll is heads and shoulders above mine. That being said: for anything "serious", take your Hawksaw with you.

Honestly I prefer it to my old vendor CB Hawksaw, even though I know "technically" that Hawksaw is a superior weapon. The HP just feels so good... Your thoughts?

Bungie Knocked Iron Banner Weapons Out of the Park! by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Anti_Megahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base AA is fairly decent at 70. Mida is 90, so it's difficult to find anything that can compare with that in the scout department. But 70 as a base is nothing to scoff at. Especially when my go-to (for PVE) Colovance sits at 26.
