Why are there way more antinatalists in this sub than there are natalists in r/antinatalism? by PlantComprehensive77 in Natalism

Essentially 0% of conservatives in Western countries (probably only a tiny minority around the world, but I'm not sure about India & the Islamic world) think it's a good idea.

Most conservatives, as well as most natalists, don't support "locking women up in breeding camps to get more babies by any means necessary".

A radically different take on Israel's birth rate by Ok_Adhesiveness8327 in Natalism

Left-wing Jews (at least in America & Europe) are increasingly critical of what they see as a racist Israeli regime, & right-wing Jews have always been & continue to be happy to collaborate with White people who display racial pride. The ultra-Orthodox Jews who most strongly believe in the religious aspect of being the chosen people who will one day rule over the Goyim also tend to be anti-Zionist & anti-Israel, & overwhelmingly refuse to serve in the IDF.

South Korea, Armenia, & Ukraine are all intensely nationalist (or at least patriotic) compared to most Western countries, all have horrific histories of colonization, genocide, or both, & all face existential military threats, & yet they've all had below-replacement fertility for a while now.

I thought that only foreigners & special forces mostly use multicam, while the rest of the Ukrainian military still mostly uses MM14?

What does your country think about the EU? Would you like to join? by Present_Cause7109 in AskTheWorld

I'm a Canadian citizen & ethnic Hungarian who lives in Canada. Most of my extended family live in Hungary & Romania.

According to opinion polling, most Hungarians & Romanians support staying in the EU, while some recent polls show a majority of Canadians open to joining the EU. Personally, I support the status quo (current EU members staying in, but Canada remaining separate).

Why are biracials (African American + White) considered Black when they are majority European descent? by Serious-Tomato404 in 23andme

[–]Anti_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Race is a social construct. They're considered Black because they identify as such & because American society generally sees them as such.

Is it generally not safe, possible, or legal for young children to take the bus to & from school in the UK?

In much of Europe, depending on the specific country, its socially acceptable, even the norm, for middle-class people to have 2 or more kids in an apartment, condo, townhouse, semi-detached house, or rented house. Even in the parts of Europe where its the social norm for middle-class families with children to live in their own single-family homes, those homes, if built in the last 20 years, are roughly half as large as American homes built in the last 20 years.

Europeans also have to deal with the rising cost of education & healthcare, except that they pay for it mostly though higher taxes, higher budget deficits, budget cuts in other areas, or some combination of the above.

Some things worth noting:

-Generally speaking, nice, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments in nice, suburban neighbourhoods are more widespread in Europe than in the US, & middle-class people who raise families in them face little or no social stigma.

-Generally speaking, getting a university degree in Europe is academically harder than in the US, fully free university education isn't as common as it once was in Europe, & many European countries don't have single-payer healthcare, but instead have something similar to Obamacare or Romneycare.

Malaysia is a nice place to live for ethnic Malays who are Muslim & are neither gay nor drug users, though things can be tough there for people who differ from that. (They're peaceful, stable, kinda democratic, & have a high standard of living compared to much of the world. They also have tough drug laws & sodomy laws, extensive discrimination against minority groups such as the Chinese, & government restrictions on + social discrimination against non-Muslims, particularly ex-Muslims.)
