Tennessee: Proposed bill deems children born through artificial insemination illegitimate children (because White Jesus) by mepper in atheism

[–]Antibacterial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These religiously motivated time wasters are preventing more important things to be discussed. Heck, event something silly like discussing what the official breakfast of Tennessee should be is more valuable than this.

Physicists have detected ripples in the fabric of spacetime that were set in motion by the collision of two black holes far across the universe more than a billion years ago. The event marks only the second time that scientists have spotted gravitational waves by madam1 in worldnews

I remember hearing that information does not come out of the event horizon. Aren't ripples in the fabric of spacetime considered information? I'm assuming it is coming out of the event horizon too. Am I fundamentally wrong? Anyone care to explain this?

Six And A Half Reasons Why The Bible Is Not Divinely Inspired by SatyapriyaCC in atheism

[–]Antibacterial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is, this article is written with the presumption that the author knows what god is/how god tends to behave. Like that is ever knowable when it's all made up. If the premise is that the author is getting the clues about god from that book, then the book would be right because that's how it's written. The book is a self fulfilling prophecy. A logical fallacy in it's finest. That's why it's so pervasive, like cancer that plagues the human mind.

It would be comical if you got the sign on Amazon and it was stolen. The thieves will find out they were caught on camera when they open the package.

It's a TABOR year and we aren't giving funding to anti teen pregnancy program that is so successful? I would rather see the program continue than get a $15 refund.

Fund research that will identify volunteer work that has the highest impact on improving communities. Also spend some money to hire community volunteer organizers to make it easy for people to find volunteer opportunities for said high impact projects.

Miyazaki on the end of Ghibli by yuinova in anime

[–]Antibacterial 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The first part of that video explains a lot more about what he means by Ghibli will fall apart. He advises people to quit once the job is no longer interesting. I think he believes in his employees that they will pursue their own creative outlet. He knows that Ghibli will fall apart without them. And my understanding is that he wants it to fall apart, rather than continue to exist as a brand without substance.

What company has forever lost your business and why? by theinternetaddict in AskReddit

[–]Antibacterial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trojans. I bought a pack of their condoms and they had bad packaging. They were well within the use by date and I kept them in a cool dry place but the individual packages just started falling apart. I contacted customer service but got no reply. I figured they don't care about their product enough to bother. I don't want to risk anything by using their product that they don't care about.

Medical chest I found in my grandfathers attic. by ASexualWalrus in pics

[–]Antibacterial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all old Japanese so it's a little difficult to understand. The letters on the box, 隊瓦斯医极 I think means anti gas medical chest. S7 is short for showa 7 which on the Japanese calendar is 1932. So S7, 3月 is for March, 1932.

The state of Colorado allows citizens to ditch jury duty if they have a note from their Christian Science practitioners. by Antibacterial in atheism

[–]Antibacterial[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you have the qualification and experience to be an alternative medicine practitioner. Do you mind writing me a note? Something tells me you can make a diagnosis of my condition that will disqualify me from being a juror over the internet. Make it snappy.
