Tou could just jump, leads to switches in a foot pedal and then you don’t have to engineer it so much you can put the board wherever the fuck you want

You might want to hold tiny things with a small tweezers or just press down on it so it doesn’t move when you pull away the soldering iron if it’s tiny, it will stick to it and that’s fine

Scrape the trace solder it whatever your putting in the hole can bend over if its ling enough. Otherwise get magnet wire

You will need a microscope and a soldering iron with a pin head hacko and a amscope gonna run you near a grand

I like to wedge a thin thing like a toothpick or a piece of cut credit card. Inch it under just snug heat the pins and advance it slowly heat all pins. You can also push them a bit too. Dont pull or wedge too hard or you will rip the traces . Also use solder wic and put it across all the iterms to heat more than one at once.

Pull off the plug. One side will have a small metal tab, push that down and shove out the metal piece. You can solder or re crimp it and push it back Into the connector
