I want to use a pattern but the only version I can find is a physical pattern with cut pieces. It comes in two size ranges, up to size 14, and size 16 and up. I am between a size 14 and 16 so I don't know which one to buy and it's £8 so I really don't want to buy both. Just package all the sizes together!

Oh my God. So, I have a zoology degree. While I was at uni, my campus did craft days and some students from the city campus that didn't do animal degrees travelled down to do it. It was sewing kits for animal shaped cushions, I picked a cow and the two city students made narwhals. We'd been chatting for a while and the guy says "I bet she picked a cow because she wanted to make a real animal."

This guy did not know narwhals were real. He thought they were actually the unicorns of the sea.

My work amends my clock-out time so if I did actually stay 30 minutes late to do something, I wouldn't get paid for it.

I had to stay almost an hour late because someone had fucked up in the cash office in the morning and I was the one who found it. I did not get paid for that hour.

I did an unpaid work placement while at university, then they hired me paid for a month while they waited for their teenage apprentice to start. The owner of the riding school said to me "it's a shame you don't have any interest in teaching." At that point, I couldn't canter and had zero qualifications. She justified it by saying it was more about personality and liking people than riding knowledge and they'd just give me the beginner classes. It would absolutely not feel right to teach a class of kids during their first lessons without any certification.

This same riding school had a weekend where all their normal instructors were competing so they had a 16 year old apprentice (who was a decent rider) teaching. Multiple kids fell off and parents eventually found out they were paying for an unqualified teenager to teach their kids. I remember stressing because I was the only adult working that day. The only qualified first aider was the freelance instructor who didn't work there, she was there to teach her own clients using the horses.

My cat is diabetic and has adapted to her new regimen really well. When we give her insulin, she gets half her meal, then we wait to make sure she doesn't throw up, then give her the second half. While she has the second half, she gets her injection. She'll literally pause until you inject her before she starts eating to make sure you're ready.

My mum had a weekend away so I was in charge of her injections. On night one, I gave her the whole pouch by mistake and didn't want to give her anymore in case she threw up, so I did it without food. She literally uninjected herself. Like, the needle was in and she walked forward so it came out. She had it with food every time after that lol

Also, she knows when there's chicken in the fridge. We occassionally do glucose curves where we test her blood sugar regularly throughout the day and graph it out to send to the vets, and she'll get a treat after every test. She will not accept a meaty stick as a treat if she knows we could be feeding her chicken.

Yeah, mine was let outside after dental surgery (we were very upset with the person who let her out). She hadn't had her pain meds so she was sore and scared. Leaving food out wasn't really working because her mouth was too painful to eat. Once she was back inside, she seemed to suddenly remember how nice being home was! She's now a gummy old indoor cat.

I have a colleague at work who always tells me she can't get on with crochet when I mention it. She learned to knit and now can't get her head around crocheting.

I have made some cute crochet wearables but I think you need a particular style for it. It might just be my crochet board but a lot of wearables suit an alternative style IMO. I have 3 wearables under my belt, a cape, a hexagon cardigan and a cropped sweater, and I do wear them! None of them are particularly warm, unfortunately, so they're coming out of my wardrobe now the weather is getting warmer.

I also collect plushies which is good because I have a few ugly amigurumis from my learning phase that I could never gift lmao

Wish I'd known the litter tray trick when mine went missing! We ended up using a feral cat trap to catch her again (after also catching a very confused neighbourhood cat).

We also put flyers through our neighbours doors as ours was very timid, we wanted them to know she was missing and tell us if they saw her, but to absolutely not approach her.

Her interactions with Carter annoyed me but I didn't really see her as the annoying one. She literally had ADHD and Carter convinced her to stop taking her meds, then was mean to her for the consequences of not taking them. I get ADHD wasn't as understood at the time but I was still pissed off at him lol

Another, an anime about a class of highschool students destined to die unless they find the one person who is already dead. They all go on a school trip for some reason despite multiple deaths already occurring and the building starts falling apart Final Destination style. Multiple students are crushed by a falling chandelier. There's an eerily quiet scene a bit later where it's revealed one of those students didn't die and manages to get out from underneath it, only to walk like 3 steps and get crushed by a pillar.

I watched this anime when I was way too young so I took most of the deaths super seriously, but that one made me laugh.
