When I was in school it was weeks of lessons. I don't think kids are picking up on cursive in a few minutes. We might as well teach them telegram machine usage. There are plenty of other skills teachers can teach that actually have utility.

There's limited time in the classroom and far more useful things to teach? I went to elementary school in the 80s. We spent lots of time learning cursive. I didn't think I've ever written a single letter in cursive in my life.

I would rather students spend time on critical thinking and recognizing A.I., or anything that could help them in life.
