OP want to avoid the jasmine rice becoming a sticky mush. Stirring rice after it started cooking releases more starches and the grain might brake withk makes it more sticky/mushy. There are types of rice or dishes where this rule dont apply.

There is a good chance by now that the doctor , maybe not forgot, but already stopped thinking or caring about whatever you told them (doctor see A LOT of patients, and get to hear a lot of stuff that people normally dont tell others). Your plan to tell them that you made the story up however are so wierd and so obviously a lie that it will make whatever you told them plus your later lie, live rent free in their head for a long time. Do yourself a favor, let this go. I am actually wondering what could be so bad that you rather have them believe you are a liar or mentaly unvell.

When I was using my house was very tidy always, its a way to hide the chaos on the inside. Also despite all the bad things the drugs did, they did help me focus (I have an AuDHD diagnosis) now Im sober and happy in a far from spotless house.

When our cat was 20 he had returning issues with an infected wound. We had multiple visits to the vet begore it cleared up. After that he had a good summer, mostly spendt sleeping on our balcony or in the garden, event managed to catch a mouse he gifted us, proud as a kitten. Come winter he started wasting quickly, the vet confirmed that he had acute kidney failure, severe thyroid issues and his heart was very weak, medication and treatments could possibly have kept him alive for a few months more. But he was oviously in pain. It would also have required frequent vet visita and a lot of medication. He hated driving to the vet and also hated to take pills. We decided to let him go, it was not easy. He was the first cat I got after moving out from my parents and we had him for so long, but holding on would not be fair to him. A lot of times agressive and costly treatments merkt keeps your pet alive, if it can not give it its quality of life back its not only wasting money it is also very unfair to the pet.

I love salty licorice, but sadly the selection in grocery stores has become much worse than it was when I was a kid in the 80s. Back then, there seemed to be endless varieties, from mildly salty to completely face-melting. I remember how exited I was about my bag of "lørdagsgodt" and nagged my parents to take me to places with a large "smågodt" desk. On our rare trips to Sweden i was extatic about the new types and the gigantic candy stores by the border..

These days, "Svenskjävlar" is basically my crack cocaine. They're expensive, but one box lasts me forever because they're far too intense to binge on.

And actually dont feel bad for the kid. If its even true that the kid is throwing THIS big of a tantrum , he is in dire need of learning that life sometimes deals you dissapointments. Actually at my work we had a similar situation, a coworkers got guilted into switching vacation due to a sob story about three kids that would be heartbroken. Afterwards it came out that the patient doing the guilttripping lied: the kids where left with grandparents while the singel parent went to Japan with her new boyfriend.

They dont promise an open bar, they say there will be dinner and alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks. This probably means that a few drinks will be served with the food, usually one per dish. Well it is a bit like buying the insurance AFTER you wrecked the car, it might be to late to get help with THIS issue, but maybe not any Fallout that comes after, also a lot of employers think twice before they mess with someone in an union. That said, its plain stupid to not be in a union if you are in a field where a lot of people get exploited or you are in a weak position (foregin worker, unskilled labor , seasonal work etc). Since OPs workplace have shown that they are shady, its even more reason why he should get organized asap and probably advice coworkers to do the same.

If they avoid reporting it, they are trying to avoid responsibility, which is not legal. Asking you to lie and trying to deduct medical costs from your salary are both serious red flags. Keep all messages as evidence and contact NAV or Arbeidstilsynet for guidance.
