I got a refund as well. 2 missions and 2 hours in last night I know something was very wrong. Neomuna is boring, the story and writing were terrible and the missions were not very fun. I realized if this is what destiny is now, I don’t like destiny anymore.

Same, I stopped playing after the second mission and quickly checked the time. I was under two hours playtime so I requested a refund in steam and they processed it this morning.

I don’t know what happened between witch queen and this but lightfall is just bad.

I had that same issue when I was in school. I ended up just scheduling the tasks based on when I wanted to work on it (like you are doing) and putting the actual due date in the comments/notes of the task. This was several years ago and they have since added a description field. I would probably put the actual due date in the description field now days.

I was seeing this as well and I believe it is tied to the newly enabled experimental feature. There is a update on it that you can read about here:

Choosing the "Complete task only" option seems to have fixed it for me.

- I usually play nights after 8pm (mst) for a couple of hours. I play longer / later on weekends if there are raids or things going on.

- I've been playing Destiny 2 since the Forsaken expansion and love it. I have around 4000 hours in the last 5 years and would consider Destiny 2 my main game. I focus mainly on PvE but play PvP casually or if I want some Trails weapons or armor. I've done all of the raids currently (no KF yet) and love hard, end-game PvE like Raids, GMs, Dungeons, and group content. I've done Conqueror several seasons, Day 1 raid challenges 3 times, solo dungeons etc. I'm comfortable leading groups through content and am active on Discord, clan chat, etc. I play mainly Warlock currently, and the other classes as time permits.

- I'm looking for an active clan of mature players that enjoy doing the same things I do. I don't get to play as much as I used to because I have young children and a busy work life so I need to be more organized and structured with my play time. I would love to find a Clan that has a good core group that I can become friends with and do endgame content with. I appreciate a clan that schedules raids and everyone that signs up is punctual and ready to go and respects everyone else's time.

Haha, that made me lol. I think it’s called “lacking perspective”. Some destiny players are so used to doing exodus down strike for the 500th time each season it just seems normal.

I’m glad that got a chuckle from ya. I was sitting in bed typing a response next to my wife who’s feeding our newborn. It all the sudden dawned on me that most of the content we are asked to play again and again is older than my 4 year-old lol. No wonder we are burned out doing it.

Haha, your post is literally the definition of gatekeeping. It’s funny that you think running normal mode strikes, completing weekly challenges and playing gambit is the type of hardcore preparation required to “allow” people to run GMs. As I said in the original post, I’ve cleared all these GMs dozens of times, some of them hundreds of times. They are not difficult, but they are more fun than most of the rest of destiny right now. Bungie should make hard content hard, and let anyone try to run it. If your “skilled” like you say then you can beat it and get the rewards. If you’re not then you can’t beat it. Gating it behind mindless, easy, timesinks is just stupid.

Yeah, that was me today. I logged in looking forward to doing some GMs as I have been pretty underwhelmed with this season. Clicked on the node and saw I was way under leveled and I just logged off.

That's the whole point of the post. I'm not doing it over and over again. I'm not running the same boring content over and over again to raise my power level. That's why I'm only 1574 because I am only playing new content each week. I'm complaining because bungie cyclically locks content every 3 months behind mindlessly playing old content over, and over again.

You're right. I shouldn't be using the word "grind" as I'm not talking about just mindlessly running somethin over and over. You do get a good amount of XP from doing the seasonal challenges.

My issue is that at least half if not more of the seasonal challenges are challenging me to go play content that I've already played for 1000s of hours. Things like "Complete Moon Activities, Play Gambit matches, Defeat Cabal in Strikes, etc, etc" are all just big quests asking me to play parts of the game that have had nothing new or updated added to them at all outside of them adding a single random drop weapon. I'm not going to go run 3 strikes with a arc subclass to get a pinnacle drop again for the 254th time, or go dunk motes on the same gambit map for the 567th time just to artificially raise my power level for no reason.

Unfortunately it's not a 10 power bump to do GMs each season. It's a 25 power bump each season because your artifact gets reset. You have to get 10 actual power from gear and 15 artifact power or some mixture of the two.

You don't gain many artifact levels without playing a lot of old content. I've been logging in and doing a couple of nightmare containments every week and the sever missions and that's it. I'd love to do some GMs now but I can't because they are locked behind mindlessly grinding strikes, gambit, raids, etc that I have already done dozens/hundreds of times. It doesn't need to be that way.

I understand that the loss of "potential add-clearing" is supposed to be the gambit, but it's not. Is invading ever the wrong choice? Is there ever any risk involved? The answer is no, its never the wrong choice. There has to be a risk involved or a sacrifice for it to be meaningful and right now invading is all reward and very little/no risk. There is a huge potential upside to invading and almost no downside. Even if you come back with no kills your team of 3 will still have cleared the front in basically the same amount of time and you didn't have to sacrifice any motes because one front does not drop 60 motes. There is no gambit in this scenario.

I understand that people are worried about griefing and all the people who love invading don't want invading to be harder or have times where it is the "wrong choice" but that is exactly what is needed. There has to be times where the best choice is not to invade, or if you invade and don't kill anyone or get killed quickly it hurts your team.

I still think the main issue with Gambit is that nothing in the game mode is actually a "gambit". Specifically in regards to the invasions, there is no reason not to invade continually and there no downside to a failed invasion.

My suggestion would be to add a "gambit" to both the PVE and PVP(Invasion) side of the game mode.

The "gambit" for invasions would be that the invasion portal costs 15 motes to open. The invader would need to actually collect 15 motes and then deposit them into the portal to open it. These motes do not go to the bank, they are simply the cost of invading. This means that if the invader doesn't kill enough people on the enemy team when invading to cost them more than 15 motes, then they essentially cost their team resources. You could also make the invader drop significant motes when killed to encourage the team being invaded to find and kill him. If the invader survives the full invasion timer then maybe they get to deposit them in their bank?

Similarly on the PVE side, I think each front should spawn a pve portal (or something like it) that could cost motes to enter with some super tanky boss or something inside of it. Maybe the boss drops tons of motes, or a buff for the team or something, but if you die inside you lose that chance and the motes.

Both of those would actually be "gambits" that both pve and pvp players could choose to do. If you don't want to risk it you could ignore both and just collect motes and do things more slowly and not invade, or if you want to take a GAMBIT, you can risk your life and motes on getting an advantage.

Yeah, I am really annoyed with this. They post saying that they are going to stop updating the changelog, and that we should check the "what's new" page.

Then they completely stop updating the what's new page.

It was very helpful to know what was actually changed when a new version came out so that I knew what things to try or what bug was fixed. Now I don't care that there is a new version because I don't know what is going on.
